New track design

Well I might end up getting one because my 2.6 has grooves to China. At least the clips are under the lugs on this one where the pressure is.

Funny how things change. We were cutting 3" tracks down to 2.75-"2.8" and people thought we were nuts. Now they come out with a 2.8" to fit in these chassis and it may be the best thing since sliced bread. I don't get it.

Although I agree, at this time, if you have a chewed up 2.6 and don't want to replace it with one (I do love the hookup of this track, but the durability is slightly lacking) your options for a similar or improved track without jumping up to a 3" are slim to none. In order to avoid changing drivers and/or rails your options lie at a 2.5 camo x, the polaris 2.4, or the new talon 2.62 all of which weigh more, and when you're talking rotating mass, is never a good thing. I rode with a mechanic from kurts polaris who had the new talon 2.62 on his older pro and he loved it, seemed to hook up well and iirc he had 900 miles on it without a torn lug.

Jeez, that marketing text over the top or what (all puns intended). These guys writing speeches for presidential candidates? It slices, it dices, the track-o-matic...

BUT WAIT, if you order in the next 15 minutes....we will DOUBLE your order (just pay shipping, processing, licencing, documentation, and legal fees)

All we need are the fine print disclaimers about itchy eyes, watery bowels, increased libido dysfunctional, green clovers and blue diamonds.

I have the X3 (3" pitch drivers) and I do love it, except on frozen spring mornings. LOL

If i were to ever need a new track, this 2.8 would get many looks from me.

What would need to be done on a '14 RMK Assault to make this track fit?
New Drivers, 8t or 7t ?

Anti stab kit w/ Avid's

Chaincase mod?

I have a 2.5" Camo X on it now.

If this track is lighter my gearing/ clutching should be good
I'm geared at 19/46 w/ Indy Dan's setup.

I wonder how many people looked at this thread thinking it was a redesign for the 2.6 making it fully clipped.

I like the design...curious to see if the windows will wear like the 2.6 does.

If it has the outer steering nubs for the hifax then it wont wear like the serie 6 or 7 track.

Looks similar to the Attack 20 tracks that Cat had. When they hit the snow there will be people debating on if it trenches less "flipped around" or not.

Time will tell.

I am in the market for my Axys, definitely looking at this. Not sure I will be able to wait until September but we will see.

Really would like to hear some more info on it from Dan and Chris that have tested it.

Call dan or chris they love talking sled parts. If someone does post on here what they half to say.

They are going to make this track in a 3.5" pitch. You'll get the benefit of a wider pitch track and light weight. It will have the normal 6 rows of drive lugs on it. It won't have the problems that the Polaris track has.

3.5" pitch. Where have you heard that? Sounds like a promising track! Now we just need some drivers for this track.
