Need updates -North Bighorn Snow Conditions

There is patches of good snow, but you have to look for it.
The snow Thursday night helped the bare areas in the morning, but blew off by the evening.

Nice Trench hahaha

The grandkids say-When in doubt- throttle out or drive it like you stole it :)

We used say pour the coals to it---

Same Same

I feel for you---been there

Just got back from there last night. Spent 3 days riding west of bear. Plenty of snow, but it's real settled and windblown. Found enough that was pounded out to make it a fun trip. We were all excited on Monday when it was raining in Dayton, but nothing really happened up on the hill. Need some fresh.

Go south and ride out of Deer Haven and head north 0-10 miles!!!!!! Was there last weekend and had some of the best riding of the year!!!!! North sucks right now.

I don't know the area very well, but looking at a Google map if you're saying 10 miles north of Deer Haven (lodge?) does that mean you can ride 15 or so miles south of Bear to get to the same area and same conditions?

Thanks,
Rob

It would be farther than that, rode that trail earlier in the year and i would say its a good 70+ miles from bear to deer haven so you would be looking at 50-60 just riding the trail. would make for a long day so bring extra gas!

Did you go to paintrock or did you play before you got there? Did you go towards battle park?

I'll give an update on the Burgess Junction area since I just got back from a trip. They have a lot of snow up there. The base is deep and set up quite a bit. That means most of the rocks and stumps are well covered. There are certainly some low snow or bare areas where the wind hits things. Snow was pretty spring like without too much powder, but the wind keeps blowing it around and covering old tracks so it isn't too bad to deal with. We were able to find some nice places with a foot or so of powder without looking too hard. No 3' deep meadows to carve in though. Trails were in great shape for getting between play areas. They were supposed to get 6" or more Tuesday as we were leaving. If they do get fresh it will bring things back to excellent condition in a hurry.
