Naked Tunnel Plus Shovel - How?

I'd like to have a shovel on my tunnel and nothing else (09 700 155). Is there a system available that supports that? Would like to be more minimalist than Polaris shovel/tunnel bag. I seem to get stuck plenty and hate pulling my pack off to get the shovel.

Yes, I would also keep a shovel in my pack for avy safety.

Thanks.

You could put some cross drilled bolt/nuts into the tunnel slots. Drill holes in shovel to match and use hitch pins through hole drilled through bolts...just an idea?

I am still thinking about mounting the Shovel handle to slide in a "Bag" or sleeve

You would rivet "this sleeve to the hood then have a quick release clip over the end so it wouldn't slide out..

To have a "holster gun holder".. But mounted on the hood..

On the Pro hoods it would fit really nice on the clutch side.

As for the shovel end..

yes using some hardware mounted with a pin release would be nice!

Also Rubber mounted so noiseless...

my .o2

hmmm, I like the idea. Will see what I can do.

my 07 dragon 155 came with a little gas rack behind the seat, very simple and minimal, but I can strap my shovel to it (assembled) with one quick bungie. The blade snugs under my under-seat bag, and the handle almost reaches the flap mounts. It's solid, low, and is on or off in about 4 seconds.

Good call keeping another in your bag, too.

Industrial strength velcro with a rivet popped through it, just make sure you leave enough tail to tuck under the handle. Also best to avoid a drill bit through the cooler.
