WOW Is about all I can say. Sounds like he won't be doing to much riding this year. Im 14yo too, but i sure and he!! aint that dumb. sorry bout your son though.

People have the right to punish their kids as they see fit. I know for me personally how my parents handled me.

I came home one time and my parents were home, I was stoned out of my mind. My parents knew and didn't say a word, when I was "normal" again my dad asked me what was I out doing earlier. I told him straight out, that I got high with a few friends, he laughed and said he knew. In all honesty I know my dad has done it when he was younger as he told me all the things he tried while my age, how could he punish me for experimenting when he himself did the same thing.

My dads way of looking at it was, he can't stop me if I wanted to do it, but he told me if I'm going to do it, be safe about it. In the end it was a phase, after 2 or 3 months of smoking up occasionally, I stopped. I had friends that would do things because they "weren't allowed". My dad made it my responsibility so I didn't feel the need to rebel against his rules. He had the same attitude about drinking etc. Now at the age of 26, I'm working for the same company that he retired working at with 31 years of service, I currently have 5, and I have a great relationship with both my parents.

I was gonna move this into FP, but OMFG that is funny. So here it stays!

My advice to you is, DON'T PAY A EFFING DIME TOWARDS HIS FINES. HE PAYS EVERYTHING. He made the choice to smoke weed, lie and then of all things, turn himself in! HA HA.

No offense but that puts him in the running for a Darwin Award.

I hope in a few years he can look back and laugh, because that's pretty funny.

I have 10 and 8 year old daughters. I'm a little worried about what's ahead...:face-icon-small-sho

when I was 14, my pa found my stash out in the shed....a couple grams of hash along with a torch, knives, and a top half of a 2 litre coke bottle. he made me show him how hot knifing hash worked....that was embarassing.

"what do you do with this stuff?"

"you roll it up in little balls, then pick it up with the red hot knife and squish it between the two"

"how does it stick to the knife?"

"I don't know dad, it just does...."

"and what is the bottle with the bottom cut out for?"

"well, you hold that over the knives to collect the smoke..."

"fawking potheads..." ~smack!~

I wish he woulda turned me in, rather than beating my azz all over the yard....

^^Hahaha, that's some funny stuff.

Oldest son is 12, and hopefully he knows better and realizes that I didn't need to use it and he doesn't have to either. Have 4 kids and it is going to be a heck of a journey.

make him call all of your family members like the grandparents uncles aunts etc and make him tell them what he did. that will be worse than community service in my book! lol

i really hope this is a joke. have you ever smoked pot? addiction becuse he does it in his dads garage? some people make me laugh...

Yeah... I smoked pot my whole freshman year and my college years. The problem with it now is that sometimes the little high they get from pot turns into crack, coke, herion shortly after... looking for that bigger better buzz. Plus not to mention, back in the day it was REAL pot, nowadays its laced with all kinds of crap. Nip it in the butt now before they want to dabble into the real bad crap.

I would of NEVER attempted to smoke pot in our family's garage unless I was really "hungry" for that buzz. Sounds to me, that kid had to have it no matter what the cost. <------- addiction. In my opinion.

and what if you give him advil for a hurt knee and that turns into him buying vicodin, and that turns into morphine???

i can personally say that being high of some pot is much, much, much different than coke...

my old man found my stash once when I was in high school, he called the cops on me! that SOB....

I tried lying to my dad once, he didnt turn me in for anything as he isnt a weed nazi, but he has taught me lessons which ill never stray from again. He shouldnt have lied too you, youve got more issues past smoking pot if this keeps up.

Pot doesnt lead to other drugs, dumb *** weak willed kids with nothing too resort too try meth, pills, X (which is what you should be worried about) get him into sports and pot makes hitting baseballs world easier BTW

From one father to another I think you did the right thing Prank Monkey. I have 3 teenagers and if you were to have not called his bluff, it would have only made it worse down the road. Now he knows his limits with you. Getting the cops involved stinks but he didn't give you much choice.

"I did NOT inhale!" One day your son could be president.....you'll look back and laugh together in 20 years. :beer;;)

I don't understand what all the fuss is about. Get the lad some papers or a bong. Problem solved!!:)

Funny chit guys!!

Ok here are/where my dads words!! "stay off the chit and ill buy you a $50000 pickup when your 18" (Thats word for word)

cheers:beer;

Damn, wish my dad woulda said that! Mine was more like " Next time I see this, your car is gone (my $500 pos) and I'm going to beat your @ss!"
Couple months later I was hoofin it with a fat lip!
Learned not to smoke dope in the garage when my parents were home!

Still can't believe he tried to call your bluff like that!

Never got caught with weed by my dad, but I did come home one night drunk off my arse and had to walk right by him. He never mentioned it, but the next morning the left over beer that i had stashed in old freezer was gone. Of course couldn't ask him about where it went but he left the drunk part alone.

So PJ said this should have stayed in his section in general under his modship, but here we are in the FP section. More dictatorship

Still can't believe that when you called his bluff he did fess up as you pulled into the police station. Hard frickin headed
