I too feel a little discretion is a good idea, I have no problem with hunting (I go hunting myself) but personally even I don't want to see a carcass hanging out all over the place, can only imagine how that must look to a non-hunter.

Thats half the problem right there. IMO children should be allowed the chance to witness such things so they can form their own opinion without the influence of any hollywood types (Bambi anyone?). Myself and my siblings were all witness to many kills before we were old enough to accept the now popular opinion that killing living things is bad.

Maybe if your girls had been exposed to this sort of thing, and had it explained to them, it wouldn't be traumatic to them. And fwiw, I have many friends that hunt deer from boats simply because its the only reliable way to get to where they want to hunt.
