My Greazy Project Ultra RMK

If those are the same plugs it cleaned up fine, thought I saw aluminum on the center one. Polaris blue secondary springs are discontinued?, they used to be in everything.
edit Try a polaris almond in the primary

That was a quote from Indy Dan years ago, your right it is so true. Fosgate your an inspiration, I’ve got a greasy triple that’s been taking up room in my little shop for years. It’s time.

If shes boggy/low rpm when you get off trail into the pow, a stock straight 36 degree helix will wake it up. I have a silver/blue spring with mine. ran a stock SKS red spring in my last one with polaris upgraded belt 066 last three digits, performed excellent. SLP reccs were WAY off for mountain riding with a paddle track imo.

Anyone got a photo of how this rope guide is supposed to mount and orient on top of the brake caliper bracket?

my sleds not in front of me but it mounts under one of the 9/16" bolts on top I believe. Routing isnt perfect, it rubs the caliper/coolant tank enough to annoy.

With the oil pump removed and SLP plate covering the pump area, it would be normal that the oil light is always on right?

Thought is from fire up the light is on. I'm doubtful a sensor could detect low oil in the cylinders near that quick and would have to be reading the inactivity (missing) oil pump.

So costs. I made the mistake of adding all my online purchases up. Granted I don't have everything listed, tools or other materials I had to buy locally etc. But here goes.

We'll the Boost isn't here yet. Going to the Big Horns for New Years Eve. Looks like wife and I are taking the Ultra. Tie Rod I needed came in this morning and I finished up turning my last bolt a couple hours ago.

We refinished the nose piece completely with a flex additive instead of just the top half. New OEM skid Plate, fixed the bag azz dent in the bulkhead.

Walker Evans shocks from a wrecked 2022 RMK Khaos Matrix came on it.

Is it just me, or are your steering links out of whack?

The links on top of the spindles looked to be turned to one side while the skis and bars are set for straight ahead. Do the skis turn equal distance matching the turn of the bars?

They are. The tie rod on one side is 15 1/2 in. The one in the other is OEM for the year make and model at 17 1/2. So I had to drop the spindle and line it up straight. Second tie rod for the oem on the right side came in yesterday

Tough and expensive day today. Virgin run since the rebuild. Had the wife on it about a mile south of the lodge. Buddy shows up, I take it out for a rip in a meadow and ,thud. Whole sled launches out of the snow and I hang on. Running weird, I hear the belt slipping. I lean to go back and it’s almost Like hitting the brakes and wants to dip hard left. I try give it the guts and then I notice the left ski spun around backwards. I then hear the clutch making noise and glance behind me an see a black part rolling in the snow. I immediately shut it down.

Asses the damage, new tie rod and both radius rods on the left side are screwed. Trailing arm ok. Not sure about the rest of the steering. Bulk head ok. Look at the clutching and the clutch is loose and bolt has worked it’s way out to push out the access plug on the belly pan. We goto tighten the clutch bolt and initial seemed to be going. Yank the ski back around facing front. Lay it down upwright, open the hood and hood the clutch. Some shiny metal shavings and the clutch spins. Great key is probably smooth or messed up. Can’t specifically recall if I torqued them. Hold the clutch and spin the bolt and notice crank is turning with the bolt. We couldn’t get it to restart despite changing plugs. We yanked the ski to face forward again

While me and a buddy and also my dealer turns her goose on the dealerships 850 Turbo. Couple hours later and I can tell she’s loving it. Guess I’m Buying her a new 155 khaos 850 With elec start. Expensive day not counting the damage.IMG_1425.jpg
