5" in town(3500') last night and 14" at the ski park lodge(5500'). Tonight is supposed to be the big dumper for us.:) Looks like I might have some good riding the two weeks I'm off.

Yes I did make the move, but liked the old style where you could see everything going on throughout the Cali. conditions. All the smack talking by Oberti, now you have to read everything. Not that that's bad, just more time consuming.

Slushy mix overnight in town of Mt. Shasta. Ski Park is reporting 14" of new at 5500', good news is it's snowing hard right now in town.:) Wish we had the high elevation riding that you Sierra guys have. We'll make due with what we get and if we don't get much, we'll come down and help track up your new snow.:D

Good ride today with a group from Redding and forum member number9t. Lots of stucks. Found one area that had about a 2 foot base under 3' of fresh, so we got to do some climbing. Most other spots when we got off the road, you would dig down through the 3'-4' to dirt, rocks or manzanita. Good start to the season. Snowed on us on the way home.:D

Catfreak,
We were over in the eddys, didn't ride Deer mtn or Pilgrim Creek. I've heard that there is good snow on Ash Creek Butte, but real thin around Deer Mtn.

Indeep,
Yes that 700 is noisy. Seemed to run ok. I think the 151 finger track was limiting in the bottomless fluff.

Silvertip,
You're always welcome. I'll be in touch.

Decent ride today out of Deer Mtn. North side of mountain definitely needs more snow. Tagged along with the Yreka boys. Rode Ash Creek Butte and parts of Whaleback.

A few pics:
Stump Hill- One of our better climbing areas, when it has snow.

The gang- Huddling up to see how they can keep that 700 Dragon from out climbing them.;)

Not enough to come south yet, stay north. Looks like Oregon is getting pounded with snow.

Great ride today in the Eddys. Took the road to Toad Lake and then dropped into North Fork. From North Fork we crossed into Bear Creek and then boondocked to Peterson Flat Weather Station for lunch. After lunch did a road ride to Little Picyune. Climbed out of Little Picyune and dropped into Fawn Creek. Climbed out of Fawn Creek and dropped in Picyune Lake. Found some great hillclimbing on the south end of the lake. Climbed out of Picyune Lake back into Fawn Creek and took road back to truck. 13 of us all total. Great group of guys and one lady.

Visi,
I think the 800 163 Dragons will do just fine once they get broken in and we get some snow to really see how they work. The conditions we had today let any sled climb as high as they wanted. I've got an 07 Dragon RMK 155 and it does pretty well, so add hp, longer track and no wt. penalty for the 800 and I believe it will work awesome. My 2 cents.
