Mt. Shasta Area 09/10

Sno parks near Shasta?

Can anyone tell me a local sno park to accomdate a motorhome near Shasta? thinking of heading that way tomorrow? Any info is appreciated. thanks

They reported another 6 feet of snow since Tuesday morning at the ski park. They predict tomorrow is going to have another big dump of snow in the mountains again and are closing the ski park for the 2nd day in a row.

i was up at the park today trying to dig everything out, the snow stick at the top of douglas was at 10.5 feet!!! it is deep and there is no bottom to it. had to dig the sled out more than once today, it sure feels good to get some powder turns in though.

the best would have been if i had a pic of the snow stick before the storm, there was more manzanita than snow. if you guys are coming to ride, don't forget a snorkel!!!

Sandman No snow park permits needed past Tahoe so you are good to go!! Shasta/Lassen good to go.... KAW76 if the lots are plowed you can prolly go to Pilgram Creek or drive another hour To Lassen we have two LARGE Plowed lots at Ashpan !!!!! And a bunch of SNORKEL DEEP POWDER!!!!!!!!!!:beer;:beer;:D OH Yea Joel YOU ARE JUST OLD!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Joel :beer;:beer;

Shasta/ tahoe

I've been wanting to ride down in Tahoe are for a while but I'm not sure I can take enough days off to justify the drive, so Shasta is start to sounds pretty dang good right now and looks good to, NICE POW in the pics...

What town do you stay in and what snopark would I look for?

Thanks,
Brent

I think I finally see the end to all this shoveling and snowblowing of the past few days. No power, no internet, I've been lost.

I've got about 3 1/2' at my house in the last 48 hours at 3500'.

Bummer news for me is: my sleds are stuck in a garage that has no access except through the electric garage door (bad design) and the house has no power. Trying to figure out how to get in today. Last resort is a blow torch.

Sandman, Turtlehead, Joel make your plans for tomorrow (Sat) without me :mad: unless you hear from me. I'll call Joel tonight.

KAW76 Deer Mtn snowmobile park has great access for RV's. They do a much better job plowing the access and parking lots than Pilgrim Creek.

Our club president does a great job of updating our club website at www.snowcrest.net/mssc

Have fun,

Kale

Kale, Your not gonna let a little thing like no electricity get in the way of an epic day of riding are you?
I tell you what...I'll bring a chainsaw and a generator and you can use either one to get the sleds out of the garage

I'm at work, but supposedly we have power in Mt. Shasta city, so I'm closer to riding tomorrow. :D

I'll stay in touch,

Kale

Hey Ted,
it was nice to meet you today! I think we are in for tomorrow but I don't know how fun it is gonna be on a 141 track :-(
Are you guys gonna be going and trying to climb stuff tomorrow with the avalanche danger so high? Or are you just gonna take the challenge of making it outta the park? I'd like to follow you guys down if you don't mind? Hopefully I don't have to chain up though cuz I have to pull my 2 place tomorrow.
