Wow, I've never seen that much snow in that area. Once it sets up, there will be some good playing at Tamarack Lake.

Thought we might have met up with you Sunday. I thought we were going to have a bigger group so didn't call you.

Phil and I rode today (Monday) out of Lake Siskiyou and it was deep. No pics :face-icon-small-fro because we were too busy digging each other out. We couldn't believe how deep it was in certain areas and with the snow depths it's hard to recognize where you're at. We're starting to get the water washouts because it hasn't gotten cold enough to freeze them so you have to be careful and there are a lot of trees down so it makes certain routes tough. We played mostly in Middle Fork because we couldn't find a way out.:face-icon-small-sho

Kale,
I'm glad you and Phil got out and had a good ride today. I didn't know what the weather was going to be like so I didn't call. We had two great Blue Bird days down here.
I'll call you tomorrow night.

Took my 3 sons out for a short ride today on their 73 295 Colt. Only one tree incident, no injuries, just a bent front bumper.:face-icon-small-hap

Great ride today with Phil and the Dunsmuir gang. Covered the eddys from Gumboot Lake to North Fork. Beautiful blue skys and we had a lot of different snow conditions. Found some powder on north facing slopes and hit spring snow as the temps rose throughout the day. Will add some pics later.

Rode out of Pilgrim Creek today, awesome snow, probably about a foot and a half of fresh powder from the past couple of days. As we were going down the trail toward Medicine lake we noticed a couple of sleds stopped and we saw to the right that there had been an avalanche. Luckily the rider that was on the hill ended up head and shoulders above the snow, the sled on the other hand was buried 4 feet beneath the surface to the handlebars. The slide happened about an hour before we got there and the group did not have any avy gear.

Wow, scary stuff. I haven't ridden for 2 weekends :face-icon-small-fro been down with bronchitis or some nasty respiratory infection. Lognomore give me details where this happened, pictures don't look familiar.

Thanks,

Kale

This happened about 5 miles from 4 corners, on the north side of Little Glass mountain, 43N77 forest service road. The guys that this happened to were searching for the sled for about an hour before we showed up and loaned them a probe.

Glad everything turned out ok. I don't ride the Medicine Lake area very much, so no wonder I didn't recognize the hill.
