Mototrax Bashing Intervention

But why would you say on the first photo on your website, "The best snowbike, just got better". Alot of arrogance there! Let your kit do the talking, on the mtn, in side by side comparison, with identical bikes. Two other friends and I tried to demo one last year. The local dealer sent out his employee on it, and we took turns as we headed up in elevation. When we got to some nice untracked powder, something in the rear suspension failed!!! This was maybe 10 miles into the ride. It was done! It had to be limped in. IMO, claiming you're the best, is a bad marketing plan. Be humble, loose the attitude.

I got the yoke installed last night with a little guess work. The kit came without instructions, and the emailed copy didn't show until this morning. The only tricky part was removing the shaft from the lower shock pivot because the circlips are super small. I ended taking the shock out so that I could work on the bench - but that was also a pain since the top shock bolt does not clear the swing arm and the whole linkage needs to be removed. I'm sure that I could do it without removing the shock now that I know how the assembly is put together, but I wasn't comfortable working one handed laying on my side and took the added steps. In all, it would only take half an hour if you are a decent mechanic and can leave the shock in place.

The yoke is nice and stout and seems to have given the front of the skid some needed lateral stability. When pulling sideways on the rails, I get about 3/4" movement which is certainly reduced from what it was before. The slide has a tight tolerance so I actually fought to get it together with the grease I smeared on it. thinking that I will add a zerk this summer when I am looking for projects to do in the shop.

The billet ski mount is apparently on backorder, so I didn't receive that in my shipment yesterday, but they did include a longer bolt and new rubber bumper for when it does come in.

Hoping to ride both days this weekend and will report back with results.

Have fun!

Can we get the Q&A thread as a sticky, and get this Mototrax crap off the front page??????????????????

Any Manufacture will benefit on these forums if the product is working and service is good, Great advertisement, And if the product fails and satisfactory response is not provided then they inherit the shortfalls and negative response. This is a two sided coin , Others want to hear the real un altered issues with each manufacture and how they respond before they spend their coin. IE Public forum.

Unfortunately the current customers are inheriting the negative response as well. Currently have my 2017 Trax 129 kit with 3 rides for sale for $3,000 and haven't had a single person come look at it in person. I live in Seattle, so it's not like I'm in the middle of nowhere either.

Mine's for sale as well, with little interest. I'm hoping these updates come out soon so I can give it a try this season... maybe it'll convince me it's worth keeping in the stable.
