i have an 01 dodge 24v i have a an intake and edge juice with attitude. im only runnin 19lbs tops i know guys runnin up to 38lbs. how can i get more boost out of my stock turbo?

Check your fuel pressure. With your set up you shoud make 27 to 30 psi. Stock is 18 to 20. Takes fuel to make power and sounds like you are lacking both for what you have. Truck seem to start and run OK? No hidden p0216 in the memory. Air intake OK? What lift pump stock or other? Hope fully not the dodge "in tank fix ".:rolleyes:

well you could pinch of the wastegate line so the wastegate stays closed.....but it wont make any more power.
what are your egt's? below 1400* pre turbo?
do you have the pump wire tapped on the vp?

had a fass ddrp but was too small and couldnt keep up/ now i have the next size larger pump. cant remember the name. im getting 15-16psi and it does not go below 12 or above 15-16. truck starts and runs good

if the wastegate is shut you get more boost and more power....if the fuel is there. and i have plenty of fuel. egt's are below 1400 lol i wont let it get hotter than 1250*. pump wire is tapped unles the needle deal in the tap missed the wire. dont see how it could.

since the edge ALREADY DOES BOOST FOOLING you dont need any type of boost fooler.

The 01 24v's went with the HY9 turbo and a hardlined wastegate actuator, BD diesel makes the "J HOOK" its pretty cheap AND IT WORKS for this turbo!!! You will see 30+ lbs of boost, more power, and cooler EGT's! Once you start to get past 36lbs efficiency falls off, 30-32lbs would be ideal for your fueling.

As far as a lift pump goes, do you have the intank update on the truck? If so its WAY better than the engine mounted junk pump, if you have that get rid of it cause it will go out! Check your fuel supply pressure to the injection pump. With the VP injection pump 15lbs MAX is all you want anything past that can start to blow out internal seals.

If you have a manual you need a boost elbow, auto you need a j-hook. Auto and manuals use different turbos. I have the same setup on a 2000 (Fass fuel pump, Edge juice/Attitude, boost elbow, intake, exhaust) and I see 31-33lbs of boost on level 5:beer;

perfect! thanks for the help! ill have to look into a j hook! it would be really nice if it lowers egt's. she gets hot as it is btu i just ordered a 5" exh. so hopefully that helps. i have the fass hpfp pump. its mounted on the frame rail but its not the model with the filters and junk.

Yeah for the auto's get the Jhook, just installed one for a buddy the other day, about 10 minutes to do, he tried everything, I told him to buy it he though I was full of chit that it would work like I said, I told him if it didnt id buy it from him... He couldnt believe the diffrence it made!!!

24v's really benifit from exhaust as well! really noticeable gains!

Any lift pump is better than the stocker! Get the exhuast and Jhook installed and you should be happy!

See this old topic came up so ill add some info. 01-02 autos = hy35 turbo If its manual you have a hx 35. Run the hy around 32 and hx around 35. The hx uses a boost elbow. Hy runs a J hook. I have the hy and didnt want to do the J hook so I did a custom boost controller. Level 5 pulling two sleds up a hill really getting on the gas with 31 pounds of boost is 1050-1100 egt. The extra boost helped a ton with egt. 2002 auto edge w juice and 4 in mbrp

this was on my 98.5 dodge, had a comp with the pump tapped, ats exhaust manifold, and a boost elbow. Ran it around 35 lbs for 2 years with no problems, spiked a little higher like in the picture when it was real cold out
