more 900 problems

So i had a thread on here earlier about 7 flashes from the ecu ran into more problems. Tearing everything apart i noticed later that insinde the y pipe its completly white bad news obviously but is that from water or running way lean.. Did have some probs today over heating and water leaking from???? Also 7 flashes cant find anything wrong with the injectors yet any other ideas.. Any help would be awesome......THANKS
 
Extreme lean makes a light grey to white pipe inside but on a 2-stroke I don't think so. If you are leaking antifreeze into the motor your exhaust will put out tons of white smoke when it's running, not sure what this would do to the Y-pipe. Take a look at your pistons and cylinders while you got the Y-pipe off.

So is this the same sled (your father in-laws) that had the 7 flash code or is it yours? If yours then lets get this solved also. I agree with what Z-man said. Most likely antifreeze leaking in the head. Damaged o-rings. If it was that lean to make pipe white then your engine would have seized before you noticed it. But possible it can be from lean also.
Now when riding it before you noticed it, was there some popping when engine is running? That would be a sign of antifreeze burning in the cylinder. Does the coolant bottle get a little low? If not then the only way to find out is tear engine apart and go from there.

Edit-On the bold. With our cold/less humid climate way up north here I haven't seen an engine not seize before getting really lean but might go longer and make pipe white in a bit warmer/more humid climate. Or there was a couple cases I seen here where kids put sugar or something in tank and made a white y-pipe but they all seized before noticed.

no its my father inlaws but i always seem to be working on it with him which i dont mind because i get good experience. Got the check engine light figured out but got it back together and ya it kinda is popping when it idles ive never ridden it so idont know how it usually runs but it seem to kind of back fire THANKS i keeep telling him to trade for a new pro we will see
 
If it is popping then it is burning antifreeze might not be much to notice the reservoir tank lowering unless on long rides. Will have to take heads off and check the o-rings. If they are good then one of the gaskets will be the problem. Let us know how it goes.

By the way, sorry for the late night replies. Just on the graveyard shift hopefully last one tonight and have some time to log on.
