mod motors in rev chasis

ttt, keep this alive, very interested. How does the BB twins run against triples?? Who is Neil and who is Bondi???

All matters how much money you want to spend.
I have a SHR840 with crank shop twins...under $3000 and should be pushing 170+hp.
Pretty happy with it and it's a fairly safe setup.
You can go as much as an 860 on the 800HO but numbers will be about the same.
BJ nows what he's doing and as long as I ride a Doo he's the man I'll be calling.

Modsldr's rig is awesome.

I am looking for a Rolling Rev chassis minus motor to put my ole 670 moddy in--lighter than the 800 motor and torquer with more HP than the stock or piped 800's build--I think it will be a hoot to ride and a great boondocker.

For the big powder days I have the 1000---but the rest--I would ride the 670--but it is in the old chassis--need that motor in a new chassis--Besides the old chassis is about done--she has been ridden hard and put away wet.

H20SKE...

I need some honest opinions here. Want to stick with Rev chasis, and looking for more HP, looking for 200 plus hp - no turbo. I don't think 830, 840, etc... will do the job - 170 hp will fall short for me. So, the question is, twin or triple?? I've read I can have a triple at 200 plus on 91 octane, twins = race fuel. Tunability - 8,000' plus in elivation. Fuel consumption - I don't want to carry two - 5 gallons cans to ride 50 to 75 miles, you get the point. So, with that being said, what's your opinions??? Big John has a 925 triple for sale, any comments? I see some 1150 twins, 999 twin, help me out!!

Thanks ahead of time.

your getting gready now, 200+ on 91, and getting 50 miles per tank aint realistic. but hey, you could drop in a Cat 900 bored to a 1010 and make a solid 200 Hp on pump just find a cat 900 motor. these are not overly expensive, and are torque monsters. CPC

Thanks Ski-Dooin'it, Anyone else? I'm with you, I'm not sure a twin could produce 200 + on 91 octane, but I think a triple could. At least that's what I have read on some forums. Hoping for input from actual owners of these engines. Anyone?????

The ONLY way you could make 200hp (twin) on 91 octane is with Split Second's 1300 twin, period.

Ive seen almost every variation of 800BB made, even the R's and NONE (Ive seen) of the commercially available ones are above 160. Not EVEN CLOSE to 170. Sorry folks....Most don't crack 155. Stock on this dyno is 138ish for the HO.

After all the hype, most BB 1000-1200 twins come in at 170-185.

Anybody wanting 200hp needs to realize the need to run decent fuel

200hp on a twin in pump gas form is probably possable if it was a HUGE twin. The triples, if built correct can produce 200+hp on pump gas. Way more reliable and parts would most likely be cheaper because they wouldn't be custom parts as the twin would require.

With the added weight of a triple you may as well put a yammi turbo in there. It won't be long now and there will be tons of 4 stroke turbo revs.

My old cat twin 1000cc made mid 180's @ Ralphs. Man it would be a riot in the xp.

Cat Motors????

Does Anyone Make A Motor Plate For A Cat 900 To Put Into A Rev Chassis??? You Should Be Able To Make Something Over 200hp With A Cat Bottome End. I Have Heard Of People Doing It. Lets Hear What You Have To Say....
