It's a never ending rabbit hole...chicken or the egg. Do POC actually commit more crimes...or are they accused/arrested at a higher rate due to systemic racism in the judicial system?...and, nobody ever compares these percentages/numbers with the amount crimes committed by each group?
(i.e. - 1 non-black killed by PO for every 100K crimes committed by non-black vs. 1 black killed by PO for every 50K crimes committed. Now THAT’S 2:1, sorta...)
Could even be taken several steps further with the seriousness of the crimes committed. It’s not as simple (no not our SIMPLE ?) as everyone tries to make it look.
Correct me if I’m wrong, cause l’ve only been wrong one time in my whole life. ?

If they actually commit more crimes per capita....what is the cause? They are naturally disposed to it? Highly unlikely. Yet highly likely that it is due to poverty, and lack of good education/access to good education. Likely due again to systemic racism since the dawn of time.
I think the current (very apparent and very public) problems USA is currently facing can easily be tracked back to 1 simple issue - a lack of widespread, high quality public education. From the "top -> down" and the "bottom -> up" on the social scale. Quality education being one that also focuses on practices and policies working/not working beyond borders, not just within. Easy to identify - harder to fix. Maybe not hard actually....just expensive, and requiring leadership that's interested. That's not to say they're aren't plently of smart people - there obviously are. We are talking an average national deficiency, with a disproportionate affect on low income income areas/families.
Good stuff as usual MH
I never assumed George Floyd was/wasn't a righteous person elsewhere in life. Lots of people have done some good stuff and some bad stuff....some have done a lot of bad stuff....yup, no argument there. Usually when people die you try to celebrate the good in their life, this just happens to be on a grand scale amongst a great deal of political and social angst.A lot of that summed up here:
Man you are just wrapping an act into one statement on graduation? You realize it isn't in place any longer? 2015 ESSA is the new policy. Trump and Devos are still trying to change it nearly 4 years later but they are both corrupt nitwits and can't seem to focus on getting politics out of education.Jaynelson , just a question about education .
How is it possible that a quality education across the board can be done when the previous President passed the no child left behind act ?
Learning to graduate is no longer required .
Blame game is always easier than solutions, no argument there either. That's a total cop-out and buying in to it lets the powers that be off the hook for improvement. Look beyond US borders for systems working well in other countries, adapt a system for the US, and invest in it. Don't have to re-invent the wheel, just need a dose of humility at government decision making level, and someone to sell it to the public, because you will need *gasp* public money. But more than anything, you need to unite the people in order to move forward.
l can think of several areas where money could be, reallocated! ?
Too many years of the red vs. blue, Chevy vs. Ford mentality....busy playing the "why your team sucks" game while falling behind in critical areas like education. The fruits of that are coming home to roost during these tough times...wouldn't you agree?
Yep. I could never figure out why some people seem to put more effort(?) into their favorite team, than they do their own life. Better to be a spectator, than a fanatic, IMO.
In chronological orderYes please
So you dont think a stable family unit gives youth a better chance at sucess? How many people here were raised in a military family? Adopted family? Family with 1st generation immigrants? Family with homosexual elders? Family where everyone used nicknames? Family that left their country because fascist dictators took over? Family that drank bagged milk? Family where all men had one testicle? Family with only high school education? Family where everyone pyscho analyzed everyone else? Lol no but really I was raised by Jedi or wolves...I can't remember.
I guess so...I have no benchmark "stable" family to go off of though. So you dont think a stable family unit gives youth a better chance at sucess?
