We met the guy raceing down the road to try and get cell service. He flag me the wife and kids down asking if we had a phone that worked there none did. He was half way back to eagle creek. Asked some more questions on were they were, how long ago , if he had a beacon. we told him will go to hendrix and call 911 he tore off and headed toward eagle creek. Called 911 when we got to hendrix he had already called. Went back to see if he needed help rcmp there and ambulance. he had already gone back in and rcmp werent leting any one in accepted search and rescue. I feel so bad for him in the situation that he was in. Also we used to have a public phone at the lake but they redid the building and didnt put it back in. Alot of people in the town have phoned telus to get it back there for situations like this . Once again my condolances to the family and his friend. I feel really bad for them.
