Men’s Christian Snowmobile Retreat 2010

A m a z i n g. Blu DU and CrossThis must ride in the plains, I'm sure if you were in avy country, you would welcome folk's prayers for you or your buds.

No matter God still loved you both enough to have His only begotten Son die on the cross for your sins. The only catch is that you have to accept his free gift of salvation.

JOHN 3:16 For GOd so loved the world (including both BluDu and CrossThis) that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Christians are not perfect - only forgiven.:)

One final post and then I'm done in this thread - if there is God or Christ, why do innocent kids die from cancer and why do awful things happen to good people - shouldn't a higher power stop this????????

No, that would take away the agency of man and destroy one of the purposes of us being here. But god will uphold, bear up and make it easier to handle to those who are hurt or have awful things happen to them. Believe it or not we grow and learn from bad experience and sorrow. How can you know joy if you haven't experienced sorrow? How can you be happy if you don't know sad?

your so right tim. why does he want to preach to us about his beliefs. i think he logged on to the wrong site

Uuumm.. .this thread is in the general forum. ...this is an event that is gonna take place involving snowmobilers and Christians . .. . .says so in the title .. so I guess this is where this thread belongs. . and I guess you guys chose to clik on it and get preached at???? .. ..even tho I don't really see much "preaching" going on .. .. . . . . . . .tell us, again, why you chose to comment here. .. .let alone read it if your so opposed to things Christian???

This poor guy.........same thing last year and he just gets SLAMMED.
Props for putting it on here again.....hope you guys have fun on your retreat ride. I think its awesome that a group of sledders that do not know each other get together and ride while having a common bond outside of sledding.

25...thats a good turnout for the first year.....good luck this year and lots of prayers for safety going your way.

I went last year and had a great time. Met some great people, ate some great food, and shared in all the things that I am thankful for. It may not be for everyone and thats cool with me, I wasn't sure it was for me either. I went to see.

What I don't understand is why a gathering of like minded folks would be a threat to anyone or in a worst case provoke personal attacks. I mean this isn't a gathering to plot a bombing or something. The worst thing that could come out of it is some people having a great experience and some critics thinking its silly. So what. Not worth going out of one's way to be rude about in my opinion. I can't imagine what type of gathering would provoke me to be judgemental or demeaning to people I didn't know. But hey, thats just me.

One of my favorite parts of last years gathering was watching the father / son dynamics of those in attendance and seeing youth get to role model some solid men while hearing their stories of the journeys into adulthood. I wish more young guys had that chance while shredding some great pow in between. The comradarie was great to be a part of as well. I didn't meet anyone there that I felt would say anything negative about me including those things about me they might not agree with or understand. It was refreshing. Nothing to be afraid of at this gathering that you don't already have in your heart right now.

The Boondockers family goes to great lengths to plan for and pull this event off. Stand up folks for sure. EW

I also went last year... with EricW and Al!

I had a great time riding with the likes of Rocky Young, Erik Woog, some father/son pairs that included Wyatt Young (Rockies son).

But it wasn't about the riding (which, BTW was great)... It was about sharing the experience with others that share similar beliefs.

To all of you people bashing this thread... LEAVE... this is no different than people posting up an announcement for the BIS or BigDawg.

The Boondockers family puts in a lot of time and effort in something that they hold close to their hearts.

If it is not for you... OK... If it is... great.... you have found like minded people to share a positve experience with in this ride that is Very Well put together.

Junior is not preaching to anyone in this thread. If you can't understand that from reading his post, you missed the point.
