MCX 290 kit

Just wondering who has more info on the updated Apex kit from MCX. From their site i see the 19T turbo and higher capacity fuel pump. Trying to read the graph looks like it is running higher boost @ 105 kpa or 15 psi. Just wondering about other changes and what might be required to upgrade besides turbo and mapping.

There are no need for other changes, beside add more weight to the primary!
I was one of the first to run it last year, and it runs perfect!
I have also their display so i can change boost map, and with a switch on the TPS valve i can have 2 boost settings depending on fuel quality, low on the wastegate and high through the TPS valve!

Is the head gasket thicker ? Does anyone know the general cost to upgrade to the 290 kit ?

This was my thought, did they just lower compression to run more boost on pump gas or have they stepped into Rapid bikes world with timing control?

No and no!
No thicker gasket!
No timing retard!
If you want to go higher then 290HP they offer PC3 with ignition module!
If you want to upgrade an older kit (260hp) to 290HP all you need to do is upgrade the fuel pump and change fuel and boost map in MCX ECU!
I started last year to do the fuel pump upgrade, they have had that upgrade available practically since day one with the Apex, later last year i heard that they was going for an bigger charger so i called MCX and asked if i could upgrade mine 16T to the 19T, the availability was limited but i succesfully begged and got one, minor fuel map changes was necessary due to better efficiency!

I am already running the 310 hp kit with external pump and reflashed ecu. I doubt that i would be safe running 290hp though on pump fuel as mcx claims with their new kit. Was wondering what they have done to make this possible.
Also what are the boost limits on the 19t.

What have you difficult to understand?
I run that with mine, low boost on premium 15lbs and high boost depending on fuel!
I can say to 100% that the only thing thats added is the fuel pump and diffrent fuel and boost map!
Also as i said the 19T is a bit more efficent then 16T, ~20-30hp more, and "builds" less heat wich means it's more safe on same boost.

MCX's website says Thicker Head Gasket. I guess that could mean a few things. Anybody care to explain?
Every year, on every kit, they have added an "thicker head gasket", which is infact an "chim" that is 1,5mm (0,06inch) thick, and that is no difference towards "old" 260hp kit.

Not trying to be difficult. Was only assuming 12 psi was the safe limit to pump fuel as it seems everyone uses it as a standard. Not sure were Dave @ powderlites was with his kit for the Apex. 290 hp on pump fuel is a great result and i applaud MCX for it. 290hp on pump fuel is alot more attractive to me than 310 on race fuel and was only inquiring what was needed to acheive this.
Thanks

:-) No problem!
Other kit's have difficult to match the reliability of an MCX kit, by their design to place the charger in the rear on Apex and under the seat on Nytro, the compressed air flows first to a precooler and then thru a intercooler which make more power and makes it less prone to detonation!
Also there's no need to connect the charger to the engines coolent lines and therefor not rise the coolant temperature, which is very good!
I drove all last year on 15lbs +, first half with 16T and other with 19T, totally ~3000km / 1900miles and not once an error!
