After all the abuse that MH has had to put up with the classless Utah fans……I don’t blame him for saying that. I didn’t know that Utah fans were so sensitive about what a football players says! LOL
I have heard players talk about hatred for their rivals for years. I’m a Steeler fan and I hate the Ravens …..There I said it. I hate there colors and every player on the team! Does that make me a DB? So be it. LOL
I do not like the Ute’s. It’s not the team but the Fans. Where I work there is a ton of BYU haters that go to all levels to amaze me how they act in bad form. I have fun with it but don’t get too sensitive.
For the record I grew up a Utah fan until I got to know the Utes Fans. I haven’t been to church since I was 16. It’s not a religious think but I like to watch the slow White guys play good.

I'm a big BYU fan, but I can't wait for Max Hall to graduate. If any of the BYU great QB's would have had the teams that Hall has had they wouldn't have lost a game. Max Hall hasn't ever handled pressure and big games well at all. BYU was lucky that they won. The winning pass should have been intercepted. BYU shouldn't have ever let Utah back in the game. The play calling down the stretch was awful. Not taking a time out before Utahs field goal at the end was the stupidest coaching decision ever and to not at least try to get into fieldgoal range after that was insane. No one will talk about that because BYU won so it didn't matter but come on Bronco. By far the worst coaching I have seen out of one of the best coaches in college football.
Max Hall shouldn't have said what he did, but I cant say I wouldn't do the same thing if that happened to my wife and kids.

LOL!!! I grew up going to byu games! My dad had season tickets. It was cool because they were the first local school to play national powers, and like I said earlier, I have a passion for college football! That said, it is mostly the byu fans who have turned me off! Last year some DB even painted a BIG blue Y in my driveway....probably you Skinner!
Anyway, it is a rivalry, and they can be fun! Usually pit brothers against brothers! This is not as much about the rivalry, wins or losses, as it is about an athlete speaking without his brain engaged! I'm sick of it! So you know where I'm coming from...I have been a "jock type" my whole life. I think an athlete should be a good example! I can't even stand idiots celebrating in the end zone! Put the damned ball down, or toss it to the ref, and act like you've been there a million times! Sensitive no! Fed up...YES!!!

I do agree with you on the celebrating. Gets old really fast. All the premodona receivers in the NFL take it to a whole new level.

Who cares?? BYU won! Utah fans just have to find something or someone to take their anger out on. Boo hoo, Max said he hates me, waaaahhhh. Does this really effect your day to day life? Why are people making Hall out to be the "face of the LDS church"? He's a focking football player, not a dadgum apostle. And why does everybody keep bringing up which prophet/apostle went to which school? God doesn't give a crap about football or which university is better. Both sides have good fans and both sides have jerk fans....find me a team that doesn't. If anybody needs a hug because Max Hall hurt their feelings, please find help.

Now all Im saying as a dad son and husband $hit would have hit the fan...Last year.
But what happened to people seeing something that wrong and getting in it? That is what gripes me. Maybe the deal with coach Ks wife was exaggerated supposed to be video somewhere? But I hope even when this old body is beat down in a wheel chair I'll still have the hutspa to at least whack him with my cane?

Obviously...I CARE, because I started the damned thread! As I've said already in other posts, this is NOT about the Utah loss to me! Frankly, I think BYU has the better team this year. But, I do care about Hall's venue to vent his frustration. I can care less if he likes me, the UofU or anyone else. However, probably better to keep his feelings amongst his friends and family and off the air. This is a sportmanship and example issue to me! Quads...Welcome to the Utah section and I hope you hang with us, if you want. But, don't punch me in the mouth and expect me to be happy with it!

First of all dont confuse Football with the mormon church. we all know the church turns a blind eye to football because in order to be competitive they have to. Football is a war, especially a game like this. Second of all, in a game like this you must psych yourself out to the max with hatred towards the opposing rival. This game is won on emotion and not skill if the teams are even close, uhh 9 an 2? So for the last few weeks these guys have been forcing themselves to HATE the other team. The game is totally dirty which fires them up even more. So his emotion carried over into the press conference, its understandable. We all knew a gratuitous apology would be coming but fact is, BYU won and he threw the smack down on Utah. So say what you want about him, hes the one wearing the smiles on monday morning unlike the Utes
Freak - obviously you are not well acquainted with sports. Hate is not a constructive nor positive emotion in relationship to athletic performance. You would not find either Bronco or Kyle preaching hatred nor would you find it in general at their practices, meetings, etc. This is simply a case of one very emotionally immature player who tarnished a great win, especially for the BYU seniors. These athletes are constantly reminded of their public presence, whether in "the heat of the battle", in front of the media, in the public eye, etc. Max Hall ****ed up, pure. plain and simple. Any of you guys who defend him or make excuses for him are only serving to promote that type of behavior. For you that have kids, is this the type of role model that you aspire towards, is this the type of sportsmanship that you would teach your kids - forget the BYU/Utah thing, this guy is plain wrong and if you condone it, I feel bad for your beliefs and values. Just my opinion as a former college coach.

Sunridge is one of the most level headed open minded dudes God ever cranked out he is a Long Horn to the end (steers & Queers?) I have had peeps send me PMs thinking me & my boy are pissed and need to kiss and make up. RELAX folks nothing on here is worth getting ur painties in a knot. Ok game on!
