Who made the wrap cut to fit?I just installed one. The fit up was perfect, no trimming large upper storage pocket. I personally like that it mimics the looks of the factory hood also. Great bang for the buck
Deviant Ink already had the template for this hood when I ordered the wrapWho made the wrap cut to fit?
Nothing will make you better than building skills and fitness. Will that 4% make me a better rider? Can someone please explain the real world benefits of shedding weight? Not interested in theoretical or wives tales. Enlighten this noob to the world of caring about what a sled weighs. Thanks!
For me the 20# is worth it, it's 20# you don't have to throw around all day,, so it helps with fatigue. Even if you exercise. A hard day of riding still takes its toll at the end of the day. For me weight, rotating weight and clutch balancing is worth every penny. Patrick clutch balancing and lightening is a great place to start. Along with trs alignment. Diamond s can, shocks then hood. Alternative impact light weight ski kit. Just my 2 centsI'm just curious, has anyone done any mathematical estimations if saving weight actually makes a difference? My noob assumption is that skill is more important.
I'm completely aware that power to weight is a real thing. On average though how much weight can a sled lose with normal mods without going crazy? I.e. hood, can and anything else I'm forgetting?
I'm guessing you can easily shed 20lb without going crazy. But let's say an average RMK weighs 500lb with a full tank and tunnel pack. 20lb is a 4% loss in overall weight. Is it common thought that 4% will get you to the top when a stock sled wouldn't?
I don't personally lake race or partake in revy chute outs. Will that 4% make me a better rider? Can someone please explain the real world benefits of shedding weight? Not interested in theoretical or wives tales. Enlighten this noob to the world of caring about what a sled weighs. Thanks!
I agree, and have shocks, can, clutching on my sleds. Point being if you have limited resources spending the money on a great sled first, then on fuel/oil is #1.For me the 20# is worth it, it's 20# you don't have to throw around all day,, so it helps with fatigue. That sounds about right.Cerakoted pipe saves 4lb for $350. Similar to carbon pursuit but for $100 more. Carbon pursuit obviously removes weight from a better place but not sure it's noticeable.
Diamond S, Cerakoted Pipe, headlight delete gets you pretty dang close to 20 lb weight savings.
If I recall correctly, it starts getting real expensive after that. I think the next best bang for your buck was the ti ski hardware when I was looking
Yes the 22-24 Boost/ 9R headlight is a boat anchor. Its a bummer as it looks cool in the way in lights up but jeez is it heavy. I will probably do a Carbonpursuit head light delete at some point or get the 25 headlight.i weighed it. the headlight weighs a ton!
