Making a pretty big life change..

I can tell you a bit about it I'm 54 came here (williston) 16 months ago there is lots of housing available here but very expensive lots of company's provide housing average wages are 16/25 per hour possibly some perdeum. I work 100 to 130 hours a week every week there's no other life but work for me. But I have goals as well though I have toys back in montana I hardly go home to use them. I miss my wife and my dog along with my friends. But there's nothing there for me any more. Come over here go to work just drift for a bit while you get your legs under you outline your plan and go for it but stick to it many do not.this place is not for most people there is a lot of bad here. Oh by the way did you here about the guy getting raped in Walmart parkinglot? Cover your *** haha ya its real.

Oh and I'm drug free hahaha I'm on here a lot if you have any other questions

Nice!!!

Both pics are the same boat. 25' Hudson, 8.1 marine power with a 212 pump. I had that built in 08' then sold it last year

How come you sold it? Nice ride to get rid of. I run a 22 ft Outlaw with the 8.1 and a 212. Works great. We run different rivers here. It is a big boat for this neck of the woods. Lots of shallow water here.

And that's the attraction to working the oilfield!!! Money!!! Lol

We used to spend darn near every weekend in hells canyon running whitewater during the summer but as my boy has gotten older his sports have occupied most of our free time and I don't want to miss out on that so now we have a 33' lake boat that's parked in a slip 5 min from the house. I'll have another jet built someday but for now the lake boat is what fits into our schedule. We miss the river but it's a full weekend every time we went so the lake boat makes it easier to spend an evening or afternoon and still get to the baseball games

16-25 an hour is pretty bad you can make 25-30 working at a liquor store here in saskatchewan lol

I'm a Frac water Heater operater and winch truck driver. I'm not saying there aren't higher paying jobs but most are in the range I stated.if the economy were better I suspect the pay would be higher here. There is a endless supply of body's drifting through here.its not for everyone men leave there family's behind to come here and work I hear of a lot of divorse and strife in peoples lives because of it. Have a plan stick to it.

It would not be easy to stay married working like that. Up here a person can find a job where you work two weeks and then get a week off and some jobs only 14 hour days so it's not as bad.

That's true but I came here to make as much as I can so for me I need to be at work not worried about time off and fun. Its easy to get caught up in big checks. Its sad but I worked 4 months straight then took off 3 weeks and was thinking about the checks I'm missing hahaha I know that bad. We all have our limits and what were here for if your truely trying to get cash together for something else you owe it to your self to work as much as possible. Now if your just wanting a job that you get some of and want a 2 on 2 off and keep bills paid that's a different. Choices man choices . 70 g or 150,000 your choice. I always ask guys that are here that have family's back home where does it end? How long do you keep coming here with them there? What do you go back to if you go home? 15 an hour no it? Think about it have a plan. Young single? Move here make a bunch.

My dad told me as long as theres time to eat and sleep there's no such thing as working too much. His marriage likely won't last much longer at the rate he's going though

Let us know if you go to nodak ridehard. Been thinking about doing this after I graduate in December if I cant find a good job. Buddy of mine wants me to go work on his rig in the arctic circle in Alaska, but don't know if I want to travel that far.

just got here..... literally every other business is hiring here in Bismarck.

they have rental display trailers and bought lettering packets to display " NOW HIRING " and the description of what they do.

Church and Anytime Fitness membership tomorrow. Pretty exciting here, yet I did just arrive.
