Making a pretty big life change..

You'll be the one that's sorry. Take that wake setter up a river once. See how that goes. Not to mention that OLD mans boat would leave that wake setter in its wake.

You are comparing a tractor to a Ferrari, both do what they are designed for very well, but are worthless in the other's field.

Obviously you have never took a ride on a high horse power jet boat. Just because it doesn't have a tow bar on it doesn't mean it isn't fast.

I would imagine it it's quite fast.
Different tools for different tasks.

Back to original topic!

Sorry for the derail.:tsk:

Good luck man! Not enough people these days go out and try to do something different(leave their comfort zone) while their young. Gotta live tha dream.

It's not mine. Just a dream. And a dream that won't come true if I keep buying turboed sleds.

I hear ya. Nothing is cheap anymore. It hasn't been too long ago that you could have a custom-built jet for around 2000 to 2500 per foot. Now it's six to 7K and up. Sorry for the off-topic posts guys. Good luck in North Dakota!

Whaaattt... 2k per foot to weld aluminum? Shoot let me get my weld certs and ill spend ALL my free time welding for 500 a foot... get me all kinds of customers. Ive been watching a few companies finally do what at least seems like the common sense thing to do, and take the economy into consideration, and offer products amd servoces waaayy below what everyone is charging, and theyre all slammed. Granted theyre doing more work, but theyre bringing in ALOT more revenue. hopefully alot more companies will figure it out.

By the way, i have a friend in ND that said if i got my CPWI card ( certified pipe weld inspector) he can get me a job for $600 a day 6 days a week. Nice!!! but i told him im not even a certified welder so i'd have to do that first. Then he said he doesnt think i need to be certified in anything to get my inspector card. Anyone know if thats true?

Those prices are for a finished boat. You can easily have 40k into a motor and pump nowadays!
