What elevation you ride? I have the same issue at my elevation (2000-7000’). At this elevation we seem to be needing to load up the clutches more. More weight, more helix, a combo of both.Didn't read all 5 pages so perhaps this has been said by others as well...
The ONLY time I can't get at or near 8250 is when the intake is plugged with powder.
At one point I was having some issues and assumed it was simply clutch/belt being too hot because we were working the piss out of the sleds. It turned out that I had some ice build up behind throttle lever and wasn't achieving full WOT.
Stock clutching had lots of RPM 8250-8350. But shift was conservative, sled still went ok. Snyper weights helped out a bunch with more aggressive shift/acceleration and load up the clutches 8150-8250. Going to find a more aggressive then stock helix to try and be able to take some weight back out of the cam arms to retain the most rippy feel I can.
