Loving the bike man pipe.

Never tried SLP's products, so can't say one way or another, but I have the Bikeman pipe on my Pro, made a nice increase. It will either be a BMP or the SSI pipe mod on the axys when the time comes..

What rpm are you guys finding is the sweet spot? Also, any fuel controller needed for low elevations? I ride with the kids sometimes about 2700' and up.. Or just run 92+ fuel and eth setting good?

Yes you need a fuel controller. I ride 0-5500 ' get a power commander from dynotech. It will come with a fuel and timing map installed. Oh and for rpm 8300-8400 rpm with over Rev to 8500 seams to be working good.

From what I see the need for a controller on the bikeman setup is what makes it much less attractive than SLP in regards to the 4 year warranty....

True that you can run the pipe and gain peak horsepower without a controller but if you look at bikeman's dyno graph, you can see that you will lose power in the 7000 range over the stock setup. I think next fall it will be the SLP stage 3 for me.

I running the bmp pipe and can in eth mode. Tell the pvc comes in. It just can't be full out of long time like over a minute. I can't tell the loss in the 7000 range. I know it's does loss a few hp there, I run 2g more then my friend that has the exact same sled and clutching just he has slp set up, Same rpm. For both of us.. with the pvc I'm expecting to add one more gram..

From SLP's website, Axys 800 Mtn sleds - stage 3 kit:
Provides an additional 12.4 horsepower increase over stock.

From BMP's website, Axys 800:
Stage 1 kit gains 12-13 horsepower
Stage 2 kit gains 16-17 horsepower
Stage 3 kit gains 21-22 horsepower

Mind sounds exactly the same way definitely wicked with just a bmp pipe and can and pulls like no other and I never felt any loss anywhere compared to stock definatei felt better through entire rpm range and weights price it

I have there tail can with my pipe, very close to slp can sound level. Nice and quiet tell about 3/4 and then It makes some noise but nothing loud.

Their site shows an option for a low altitude pipe, and a high altitude pipe. Anybody know what this is all about? 2/3 of my riding is done at 1500' the other 1/3 is typically 8000'-10000', definitely a turn off if they have each pipe tuned differently.

Best to call them and ask... my opinion its good if a company offers low and high elevation stuff.. when I got my pipe I got told it's the same pipe but they were going to offer a pease you can slip in the end of pipe for hight elevation.. the best way is to call bmp you're self, and find out.

I have a customer running a stage 3 at 2k and 10 k and works flawless.

Mine is running flawless with the stage 3 still. Here are a couple sound readings from it. One is just us talking, 2nd one is BMP Pipe & FV muffler at idle 78.8Db, 3rd at 4000-5000rpm 83.2db, next is 2015 M-8 with mods and BMP mountain lite muffler & Y-pipe at idle 88.9db and 4000rpm at 98.1db, both are 10' away 3' off the ground.

Just to clarify on the high vs low alt pipe:

We do only make one pipe for this sled that is working really well in low or high altitude.

Our pro-r pipe had a reducer in in which worked well for 6000+ft. However, this sled is basically a ported Pro-R motor which likes the larger outlet, even at higher altitudes.

We had been testing with the reducer and I left the option online simply for the fact that IF we found an even bigger power gain, I could go back and e-mail customers to let them know.

I'm going to remove the option as again, we found no benefit to reducing this pipe.

Thanks!

Thanks for clearing that up Mike. Im leaving for Colorado next week and the way this thing is running I can't wait! I was a little worried about doing the full stage 3 Bikeman kit but I have been loving it! The pipe and (larger) full velocity muffler sound great, my old ears can't take the loud anymore lol. By the way the lite weight battery I got from you is keeping its charge even in the cold. I can't believe the stock one weights as much as a bowling ball:(

No problem! Any of the bolt-on kits are amazing, but that stage 3 really runs strong. Other customers who run our product often have claimed they run right with our extremely powerful 860 pro-r big bore. Nothing wrong with the full velocity, it has the nice sound when you want it, and can be quiet when you don't. Have found out there!

I've had extremely good feedback from customers on the pipe out west. Most say the biggest difference is the huge mid range our pipe picks up compared to others. Not to mention the excellent peak gain.

I can't stress the importance of the re-mapping with the bully dog tuner. It changes so many things for the better in the stock fuel mapping. Mountain riding often times you run into over 45 degree air intake temps in which the stock map for that is very poor. Also if you are clutched for higher altitudes and riding slightly lower, the factory over rev is not very good. With our mapping over rev is MUCH better.
