Lost Lake was great yesterday but the Primrose trail will be terrible by Saturday. Ruts are deep enough now that your running boards drag. All that said,,,,, I'll be back!
Can anyone tell how big the parking lot is at the end of Snug Harbor Rd.
Before the upgrade you could turn a 4 place around if everyone parked decent. Should be better now. If in doubt get there early, turn around and park on the road pointing down hill. It sounds like the snow is better on the Seward side right now so you may not have too much company over there.
The old parking lot was big enough to turn a 4 place around IF no one else was there LOL... the new lot is up a bit further on the right and can easily fit 20 rigs with trailers. The problem this past week has been the road getting up there. A lot of rain and warm temps have reeked havoc on the road ~ very slick still with glaciation. Lot of guys tried it Sun/Mon and couldn't even make it up to the parking lot.
For those going up Firehouse and Prim ~ please let off the throttle just a little bit on the trail in spots where it is already trenched/iced up ~ it only makes it worse for the next guy. Thanks

So how big is the parking lot on the Seward side and how easy to get in out? I need a lot of room if it is not a pull through. Still trying to figure out if I can make it this weekend or not. Would a short track sled be able to get up there and if so would it be able to get around or just be stuck constantly even if the rider tried to stay off the hills?

I doubt your truck/trailer (read: Train) will be able to move through the firehouse parking lot. It's blocked off by 11am usually.
A shorty will be fine, snow is setting up already, some friends went yesterday.

Carly Davis rides an m8 for sure(thought her sled was black/orange tho?)... she is dating my buddy Joey Junker. Its pretty awesome riding with a girl who can huck as good or better than the guys!

Yea figured would be something like that; Not too often do you see curly hair stickin out a helmet huckin $hit. Made an impression for sure.
Although yesterday was pretty tame as far as eating ****, (i.e. nothing broke) there is a very good chance you saw my sled rolling down a hill
with or without me in the general vicinity! Resurrect the GHOST RIDE Trav?

Headed back tomorrow. Has anyone taken Firehouse lately? Wondering if we should give that a try or ride the trench up Primrose again.
