Looking to Buy SLP Stage 2

I haven't had any personal experience with either pipe. But on the Dynotec pipe shout out the SLP pipe made 4.3 hp and the Bikeman made 8.1hp. Also, you cant buy just the pipe from SLP, you have to run there awful can as well. Bikeman you can just order there pipe and pick which can you want to run it with.

This is definitely true. Which to be honest is the only reason I'm considering a BMP pipe. BMP offers more of a mix and match option instead of buying a straight up "stage x" kit from SLP. Which by the way I'm not really in to the "Stage" crap. Just sounds stupid. I come from the diesel performance world where guys talk about their "Gale Banks Stage 12". Anyway, that's a whole different topic

I have not ran both.

Bikeman and rk tek both use big hp hype to sell.
I've bought both in the past and learned my lesson....

However I'm sure you extensively tested them.
In the steep and deep......
In Wisconsin?........

Oh so now ur a comedian guess I didn't know that a truck and trailer can't get me out west and in fact ur still going by the past axys pipe from bmp will make twice the HP a SLP will was proven not only at dynotech but a couple other places as well but u want to keep running ur mouth its funny how 7-10 of your posts urceither insulting or spoutingvoff whatvuvknow nothing about but instead what u think is right kind of like when everyone says oh 8 lb loss for something if u can tell a differetvin ur sled between 7 and 8 gallons of gas ur definitely better than me . and I will state this as a fact I'm pretty sure I ride more in one year than u do two and we don't even have any snow in Wisconsin right now where I am

There's alot has changed at bikeman over last couple of years and if more people would give them a try I believe they would also see that

So who ask for your input evidently ur a troll too

Actually I am genuinely interested in this topic and a Stage 2, pipe/can, whatever a company wants to call it, but your run on paragraphs, spelling, lack of context, and overall attitude, make it hard to follow or take you as a credible "source".

And yes, I get it, this is the Internet...

That happens sometimes didn't know it was English class lol

You can buy just the pipe. Call SLP and order direct.

I love my stage 2. Bought it more for the weight savings then the power increase. The engine just feels strong with the pipe and I like the classic SLP tone and have used SLP over the years. Always good support with the products as well!

I cant say for sure but I'd be very hard pressed to believe a bmp pipe pulls 2 more grams of weight than a slp! If someone has both Id love to hear a honest response.
Does it make slightly more HP? there is a good chance but 2 grams is not just a little especially since the BMP pipe wants you to rev the motor to 8400-8450 rpm.
Can BMP make good products yes, but the honest truth is, with there products they do not do nearly the testing out west in the mountains that the companies out west do. We all know what works in the mountains doesnt always work in the flat lands and vise versa. Some times it does and this pipe may be one of those that does, I dont know for sure.
According to what I've seen everyone can cherry pick HP dyno #'s if they want but dtr did a pipe test on all the provided pipes at low elevation. The SSI pipe mod was top and broadest power band, BMP was a close second but more peaky and higher rpm, SLP was third with a pretty broad power band. If my memory serves me correctly it was something like 10Hp 1st, 8 Hp 2nd, 7HP 3rd.

As far as BMP new ownership. There is no new ownership or management, same guys there, the one who knew the most of anyone got pushed out.
(My opinion spend less on advertising with girls with hardly any clothes on and more on testing your product in conditions, your product level will sell itself like SLP, people buy them because there known for a good product that work as stated)
Eric who started BMP many years ago is on his own and now owns SSI, he says he is focused on making good products and staying smaller as a company to provide better customer service and quality products at better prices.

Anyway I think there all probably good products so pick what you like but I highly doubt any of them will pull 2 grams more weight than the other one.

I was really just looking for a pipe in stock or a used one. I did find one. Thanks for the help. Some of these responses are great! Didn't expect that. I have always ran SLP on my Ski-Doo's, I like them, I am used to them. I will say as far as throwing parts on a machine and putting it on the Dyno can be misleading. I don't care for "adding weight means more HP." There are alot more variables at play. For instance I really like the engagement of my stock sled. Seems to pop ontop of the snow very easy. When you add more weight it also changes the way the spring works. Adding more weight and leaving the spring the same will make the belt engage earlier. That is not what I want. SLP does spec a different rate spring for the primary. They also add a stiffer engagement and finish rate spring but in my opinion the numbers dont work mathmatically back to the factory 120 engagement. One gram heavier = 30# of spring pressure. I want to keep my same engagement. After talking to Carls Cycle I decided to go with their clutch kit designed for the SLP pipe and can. They use the factory spring but supply a 66 gram weight instead of the factory 64 grams and include a progressive helix. IMO without riding it sounds like the way to go.

I'll be able to add some info, I ran the SLP for a couple hundred miles....got rid of it due to the cracking issue.

Will be running the BMP pipe this week, looks like another storm is heading our way.

My stock pipe is on the way to BDX for the pipe mod, will run that once received.

Stay tuned....will post results in a separate thread, don't want to stomp on this one.

I'm not here to get in the middle of this argument.. at dynotech the slp made 4hp over stock. Bmp was 8, ssi was 9. If you want to see go look..

Never have had any experience with SLP, quite sure they work, and work well, if the many threads extolling their virtues are to be believed.

Have used BMP on my Pro, and the results were noticeable for sure. On this sled I will be going BMP or (old BMP) SSI pipe mod. Dynotech (Dyno Jim) is about as reputable an impartial source as it gets, and his results point to the BMP and SSI as making a shade more HP/TQ than the SLP.

Oh, and wisboy, Jreng was right, damn son, use some punctuation lol. I'm far from a genius myself, make it easy for the rest of us trying to read your "sentences" please.. :)

I'll get right on that from here on out lol ....
