looking for christian snowmobilers

It's amazing that a guy mentions that he's a Christian and some people think every time you see him he will hit you upside the head with a bible. We are not like Ned Flanders on the Simpson.

I have a group of guys I ride with and probably over half of us are Christians and I would like to find a group that has more fun than us on the mountain. We don't stop at the top of a climb and site scripture. We don't try to convert the "non-christians" in our group at the warming hut. We ride and have fun. So some of you need to RELAX, we are not coming to get you.

+1 (oh and I'm 1 of his riding buddies that is saved)

Nothing better than fellowshipping with other believers on a powder filled mountain in GODS creation!

As many have stated and I'm proud to say, it's about YOUR personal relationship with Jesus Christ and not about what church you attend, how often you go, and how much you tithe. We are fortunate to have a Friday evening service at my Church, so during the winter...that is when we attend for fellowship w/ other believers.

I like the passage in Matthew 7:1-5. Please go read it when you have a chance. We are all sinners, even us Christians. We are just taking up Jesus on his offer of Grace and Salvation (John 3:16, no it's not just a sign at sporting events:D).

Thank you to all the believers on here, for inspiring each other. I'd loved to ride with ANY of you, and anyone on this forum for that matter.

Hey Mr Tactic; you didn't have to read nor respond to this thread. I'm sorry that you had to see the word Christian, out in the open, in the General Forum section. Now then, don't be so JUDGEMENTAL about my faith. You are trying awful hard to make your point. Capen didn't go anywhere near the length you have to prove his point. In fact, he never really had one. So relax, and don't try so hard to disprove God. He's bigger than you anyway:)

Hey Trinity, not trying to disprove God. It is possible I am completely wrong. We all have our opinions, right. Mine is no more right than yours or Capens. Maybe I came on a bit strong as well but some things you feel passionate about and some things you don't. Go figure. Just felt like participating in this one. If you don't like what I had to say I'm OK with that. I may not believe in your God but I do have faith. I guess thats a discussion for another day.
Pray for snow!!:)

I am christian but pertaining to interpretation of the bible, with over 35,000 denominations, most claiming to use the Bible as the sole authority, obviously the Bible says quite a lot of different and conflicting things to different groups. If I interpret the Bible not as a written "how-to" guide, but as a collection of books from different cultures, time-periods, and authors (although God is the ultimate author) would I be considered an out cast to your group? If I belive the bible is not "self-interpreting," as evidenced by the large number of disagreeing denominations claiming to simply "believe the Bible", is that OK? Or simply, am I a christian snowmobiler if I believe strongly that it is the word of god, but I differ as to your interpetation? Is still ok to ride with you?

My guess is that you will be hard pressed NOT to find a christian snowmobiler on this site. Even tougher to find one that has not been immersed in Jueo-christianity from where our society derives its values.

I will ride with nice, honest, friendly people anytime! But you might hear me drop the F bomb, or any number or combinations of words not deemed necessary...but God knows I am just whipped up and excited...

No worries Tactic. I'm passionate as well;especially about my faith. Sorry that I singled you out, but it was the "timing" of it all! I was actually pretty kosher with your reply until I read the MY SNOWMOBILE FORUM part!! Just kidding. I'll pray for snow, and you. How's that:beer;

this is awsome everyone on here has a common thing its sledding wheather it be on the fresh mountain power or all the flat landers running at high speeds down the trail.
all I was doing was looking for people with the believe and a common love for Christ. We ended up with a whole lot of people and there ideas and opinions of life in general.

I'm going out on a limb for a minute

We all the Christians that have posted here have followed what they believe to be true that is we have all tryed to lead every none believer who has posted here to the metaphoric water but its your chose to either drink or not to drink that is part of the freedoms we have here in the great U.S.A one nation under God indivisable with all libertys and justice for all believers and non believers.

OK, well here is some new testament for you. I could go on and on. You can say that you are not exclusive and elitist but the religion you believe in is. Choose intellect over blind faith. Read the new testament and you will be amazed in what you think you believe in.

Book of John, Chapter 10 Verse 1 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter by the door into the fold of the sheep, but climbs up some other way he is a theif and robber."

Chapter 9 "I am the door, if anyone enter through ME, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture"

If this is not exclusionary, divisive and eliteist I am not sure what is.

Well my friend....If you want to call it exclusionary....it is not...all are welcome...I dont think that has ever been in question...but...It could be called devisive I guess...

Because right is still right.....and wrong is still wrong....God is the same today as he was in the days of the apostles...he is unchanging

Thats whats wrong with our world.....they want to make shades of grey to justify there actions...but there is still really only black and white....

God lets you know in your hart whats right and whats wrong based on your knowledge of his word....where the problem comes in is that MOST people over ride what they know in there hart and soul...because it dosent fit there program...We are to be on Gods program not our own.

I too should really just hit the delete button right now... alright Now...aw crap.

If I was riding with a bunch of good guys and having a blast meeting new riders and then all of a sudden, kinda like an intervention, they all whipped out there bibles and started to force feed me something that I personally do not want to hear I would be riding alone all the way back to my truck kinda pizzed off.
Better warn the "Non believers" before you ambush them pal. ;)

otherwise, to each his own
Just accept that that goes for the so called "Non Believers" too.

Kinda ironic, I have seen you ambush plenty with your beliefs? (mostly hurmorous)

Ok this is your warning, I will be riding Stevens allot this year and I have "Faith" we will run into each other sooner or later. I promise not to whip out my Bible as I listen to your opinions about this that and the other..

With that said.... "GOD" bless America and let's "PRAY" for snow:D

And like you, I probably should have stayed away from this, however your remarks moved me;)

Don't forget that straight edge part.

Heres the way i see it

Being a christian myself i never try to ambush anyone with my beliefs, i however try to use my actions and how i carry myself through daily life to influence people. Some people need to see that being a christian doesn't mean you cant live life.

Secondly to all non-believers here is food for though: If at the end of your life we find out that christians have been wrong then i guess no harm has been done. However if find out that christians were right it is your eternal life at risk. Something i am not willing to risk personally.

just my opinion not trying to preach to anyone just making people think about there standpoint.

Wow,, some very sad comments on this thread, and some very awesome statements..We are so blessed in Canada and America.. Gods love for us is so great.. His mercy so deep. I personally am so grateful, Father God Almighty, has blessed me and my family.I look forward to Gods Kingdom and eternity. I've made so many really bad choices over the years.. The power of Jesus, his resurrection, gives me strength..

I love sledding with friends, the beauty of the Mtn's, the adrenaline, the passion..My God given talent is riding snowmobiles..There's nothing in life I do better. or enjoy more..

As a recovering drug addict,, I came to believe "GOD" could restore me to sanity. The power of addiction was broken by the power of Jesus.. Finding balance in my life is now one of my biggest challenges.. Snowmobiling has also controlled my life too.. Unfortunately my family has suffered. My choices have often been selfish and self centered.. But HEY,,, TODAYS A NEW DAY...

I'll try my best today, and tomorrow I'll try my best again...

It say's in the Bible Jesus sits at the right hand of Jehovah God Almighty . And he intercedes on our behalf. He's answered so many of my prayers, healed my mother of cancer last fall.

GOD Bless you all...

who'd a thunk it.

Well said Dan, very well said and personal. Thanks for sharing.
