polaris 120

Wingnut there is a 120 on craigslist under rvs in Shelby. Sounds like it might keep up to your pro and cost about the same.

ha.

Yeah, the 120's are kinda rare.

As far as the keepin up, yeah, maybe.....

Boy, I'm really gonna have to step up the game this year, I must be slippin???

But then again, I have been kind of a puss the last couple years, I blame it on the tank of chit/ Nytro....................:frusty:

My 163 has been here for a while, still waintin on the 155, I guess the black 155's will be the last to ship... They better get here soon, I can't afford too many more trips to Kurts,,, every time I walk through the door my wallet jumps out of my pocket and runs for cover..

It's gonna be a good year!

VES Poo Oil

Not sure about the old stuff, but the new stuff is made by a manufacturer that alot of guys use anyways...

Who makes Poo ves oil???

Any other guesses??

I was told that Polaris VES was Amsoil a few years back, but I'm not sure if that's true.
Everyone's getting new sleds and I'll be able to start taking mine to antique shows in a couple years.

ding ding ding....

Amsoil it is, now which is cheaper???

Amsoil Interceptor approx $39.70 per gallon, from amsoil.com

Poo VES Gold approx $39.09 per gallon, from motorsportmonster.com

Are these EXACTLY the same????

Amsoil Dominator approx $39.70 per gallon, from amsoil.com

Poo VES Racing approx $45.04 per gallon, from motorsportmonster.com

What's the difference here????? Who makes the Poo racing oil???

Hey guys, I know a lot of you ride pro's and I am just wondering what I should do to properly break in the new sled? Is there a programmed break in period in the ecu or what? Thanks!

hmm

I'm not sure about these new ones? Did ya get a new Pro this year?

I've always heard it's a good idea to vary the rpm alot and not spend too much time at one certain spot, which seems to be basically tree riding anyway. Just keep a good eye on things like making sure your oil is flowing to all the spots it should be flowing to... Another thing is to make sure the coolant is also circulating correctly, no air left in the system, pump is working, and so on..... And yeah, breaking em in hard is ok, just don't beat it down.... You want to develop a respect and trust relationship!!!

If you don't trust your machine,,,,,,,, you might as well just sit at the bottom!!!

WingNutRacing, I sent you a pm on the oil. If I were to guess It will be around $31 per gallon this year (based on 16 gallon barrel pricing in the past). It's consistently went up $2 per gallon for the last ten years. That would be for the Amsoil Interceptor. I've ran it for years and have no complaints.
Only one thing is for certain when talking oils is you my as well be asking someone who makes the best sled or who makes the best truck and so on.
If interested you could always check out a site called "Bob is the Oil Guy".
They have everyone from the chemist to the average Joe on there that might be able to answer some questions for ya. If you get a chance to check out the site then also check to see what are the best oils for your tow vehicles. Cool site.

grizbacker, Be sure to pre-mix oil in the first tank of fuel. After the first tank of fuel and you're sure that the oiler is working correctly then no need to pre-mix after the first tank (more oil than needed may promote carbon build up and sticky rings). They say there is a break in period on the new sleds (I've heard anywhere from 4 hours to 7 hours of engine run time).
I wouldn't worry to much about the "break in" period. Take it easy the first tank of fuel. Vary the speeds often never holding a constant speed for a long period (burp throttle).
After the first tank of fuel be sure to give the sled a good checking over front to back top to bottom for any loose nuts, bolts, wires, or anything else that may have loosened up (hopefully none). After the first tank it should be game on. Ride her like you'll always ride her. Have fun.

ragincajun, lmao.

Thanks guys! Wingnut- yeah i finally switched to the good side. I got tired of being the outcast on the cat. This should be a great year! Pray for snow men! Rajun- I'm not afraid to boss that thing around haha
