Oh come on guys, the Democrats care about America, they just want to "interpret" the Constitution as a "living document", through their magical rose colored glasses.

It always will need to be interpreted. The creators could not have planned for our future technology and societal needs/issues. Funny how the people always say that it should not be interpreted, then they don't want to follow it completely....

Libertarians are all about "Liberties". They tend to focus on what the Constitution actually says.

Break it down and you will find that liberals of today,ie demonrat party) are sporting few libertarian ideals and have become nothing more than rabid socialist's. I bet that the founding fathers had none of their ilk in mind.

Liberals want to protect free speech, and the right to act crazy.

Republicans (in general) want to protect your right to self defense, and your hard earned money. (at least they used to)

I wouldn't put liberals down as protecting the rights of Americans, they pick and choose what rights they want you to have. Just like the Republicans.

And, for the record, I don't agree with the government having the right to spy on it's citizens one bit. And, as much as you don't want to hear someone say something, I believe that free speech protects everyone. And, guns keep the politicians from being overlords.

What exactly is wrong with tapping communications that are coming into this country from a foreign source? Do you also want the feds to stop inspecting (read tapping) shipping containers that originate outside of this country? This is what all the whining is about with regards to the patriot act.

I'm all for closing the borders and stepping up said survelience. Besides,you fools whao want to whine about this trashing of the constitution nonsense forget that there is a Supreme court that can rule on that aspect of it.

On another note, You who want top defend the demonrat party whether it be the patriot act or the Iraq war need to go back and see who voted for these things in the first place and i guarantee that there are a boatload of dems that voted for it also.
