Is that a 5th wheel camper frame, or an all custom job? Good idea either way
I did the conversion, started life as a crew longbed 3500. Used half of a front door and half of a rear door to make the middle doors. Added the extended cab and a 5' 8" bed. Took a little over 200 hrs and the interior still needs a little work. Wanted full 6 doors but had to keep it as short as possible since its my daily driver.

Recently flat bedded my half ton for two sleds. It's an all steel deck, 1.5" 14ga. square tube for framing, 14ga. plate for decking. Ramp storage under the deck, LED lighting, DIY roll-on bedliner, bolt on side & ski glides, ski hold down bar nut welded in place too. Weighs a little over 400lbs, which is about the weight of the stock bed. Receiver hitch sits 1/4" higher than stock, so if it's not lighter, it at least shifts weight forward some. Haven't hauled two sleds quite yet, but this F150 is sprung pretty heavy and I'm not concerned. I'm happy with how it turned out. Took longer than expected, but I'm a slower fabricator than I remember.
Yup.
Finishing up my 6 door duramax and traded off my 20' trailer for a 30' aluminum.
I did all the work myself so the cost was fairly low, only costly items were rims, tires, step bars and extra seats. Guessing to have it done would be around 15-20k.Just curious, what does it cost, relatively, to stretch a truck out like that?
$5k, $20k?
