no transmission tuning with efi live. i have the auto trans working like a well oiled machine via H&S MCC tuning. and from what i have been told, MCC vs EFI live ENGINE tuning on a 10-12 cummins can be made damn near the same with the exception of some injection timing issues. i will not switch to EFI live unless they come out with auto trans tuning features like MCC has.

You could still get a separate Tcm flash.

Then do some data logging with the efi live and figure out where and why your getting ****ty milage.

It's not my pickup. Those open 4 place trailers just pull hard for some reason. It has to be the wind ripping through the sleds on the trailer or something. We have a stock 2011 duramax in the group, he gets 8 pulling my trailer. We have a 2008 duramax with EFI live, and deleted of course, and he gets 11 pulling my trailer. This is at 80 mph from Western ND headed west

Pulling my open 4 place loaded with my 2006 5.9, I get 16-17 on the freeway. Had my cabover camper in the truck with the same trailer loaded up with 2 quads and all my hunting gear and got 13-14.

Efi live w/ csp-5 and PPEI tuning, intake, exhaust, some tranny work and a little fuel.

No usually closer to 75. When I get above that my mileage really starts to drop off. If I were to set it at 80, I would prolly lose 2-3 mpg

We took at stock 5.9 with sled deck and 2 sleds to the big horns. It made 13 at 80mph. EFI doesn't make that much difference

I guess I missed the 80 mph part haha. My bad.

Mine isn't stock. I have stock size tires and ride height though. Believe it or not. Doesn't really matter to me haha

Fuel mileage

I have a 2013 Ram megacab SRW 3500 4x4 with the Aisin transmission, 4 inch lift, and 35x12.5x20 wheels. As soon as I hook ANY trailer to it and run 80-84 MPH my fuel economy drops to 8mpg. Running empty on the interstate at those speeds she only gets 14mpg. I strongly recommend saving the money and NOT purchasing the Aisin transmission option. Just not worth it.

That makes me feel better about the 8.5 we got from Grand Forks, ND to Cooke City in a '14 1/2 Chevy with the 5.3, 4 guys, gear, 4 sleds, open trailer. Interstate at 80-82, We did have 200 miles of crap roads out of 1800 round trip. Speeds were lower, but had in 4 wheel for most of those miles.

Let's hope fuel keeps getting cheaper!

Is the aisin not tuffer than the 68rfe?

If it was considerably more durable than the 68rfe as long as it didn't raise the price $6000 i would say it's worth it.
