Props to the Exciter. How does that motor hold together, at sea level we were always putting pistons in those damn motors. My dad always said it was the only Yamaha he ever had that he wouldn't trust his life on. Here is mine: 1990 Exciter, Polaris Switchback 144" suspension, 1996 V max Struts, 1.5 Predator Track, Rotax 670
These pics are about a year old, updates include newer secondary, gas rack, 2008 Nytro skis, stronger steering post, and about 6 pink windshields because my Dad's supplier had them on clearance for like $4 and I go through them quite regularly.

The engine's been strong so far, no problems with the pistons at all. I'm sure it's time to throw in some new pistons. It's the third exciter I've had and I've never had a burn down but I ride at 7k-10k, maybe that helps.
Yours is pretty sweet as well, so far as I know we're the only two to put a 144 on one of these. It's still not enough, my track spin is crazy so I'm going larger.

Here is my first mod sled, I built it when I was 16 with the help of my dad. I bought it as a completely stock 97' mxz 670.
Vanamburg hillclimb 2" Kick up tunnel
Rolled case
Boss seat
Mtn fit hood
PLP trailing arms
Powder pros
MM Big wheel kit
151x2"
Tison bars
patriot racing 670, billet domes, ported/polished, shorty rv,ect.
Coated crankshop twins
And a hand brushed black linex bulkhead lol
this is a very special sled to me......thanks dad

Is that the one they built with the 1500 in it and the carbon fiber gas tank?
A friend of mine has an ugly Kawasaki Drifter with a 81 yamaha SRX in it. I will try to get pictures. This sled ran 89 in west at a radar run years ago. Fun stuff.

not my sled but a friend who I use to drag race against, jeff kramer out of washington. This was at anthony lakes drag races about 3 years ago and the only thing that touched this sled was one of those outlaw yamaha turbo's out of enterprise. good times!

I like the pipe routed on the clutch side. Sick sled.
