Lets see some "Cold air" turbo intakes

Prob 4-5" higher. I only had a problem when I'd blow thru a drift and the snow wud travel up the hood and collect in front ov the filter. It wudent fall on its face it wud just bog down a bit. For as much over the hood pow or drifts I ride in I'm gonna leave it how high it is now just so I don't have to worry when I need to roll it over or in the trees. But I think I will bring a 4-5" piece ov aluminum pipe and a short rubber coupler in my trunk or atleast in the truck so in those over the hood powder days I won't have a problem.

Where can I buy a stronger cage and pre filter? I can get a K&N pre filter but I still need a better cage. Having trouble finding one and need one ASAP

Here's mine on my proclimb. Was a bit of a rush/hack job, night before a trip and needed an intake type of thing lol.

Intake

Finally received the parts and finished building my cold air intake on my 2011 cutler kit.
I ordered a cage and pre filter from boondockers Canada, 3" 90* silicone hose from Lordco, and used 2 3" 45* pieces of exhaust pipe from local hardware store.
Turned out great went about 2-3" higher than duraslut. (thanks for the pics)
Still haven't been out to try it out yet, waiting for my wife to have a baby so probably have to hold off till the new year
Now if I could only figure out how to post pics I could show everyone, maybe someone could help me out with that.

Cold Air Intake through C3 carbon fibre hood. Ran flawless all year.

Finally got the parts and found time to build myself a CAI, hardest part was finding out exactly where to cut the hole. Took about 15minutes to do the whole thing 10minutes was spent finding where to drill the hole.

Overall very happy with the outcome can't wait to go try it!

UPDATE:

To anyone who is second guessing this intake system, it flat out works fixed 99% of the problems I was having and made the sled run like a different animal.

Anyone run a secondary "inline" filter or mesh?

Knocked my prefilter off on a wicked branch last month, got a small amount of snow down the intake..fouled plugs...

More concerned with keeping twigs and other solid debris out of the turbine in case it happens again...

I think fitting a regular cage and prefilter over a aerocharger mesh screen would be a good set up. I sure like the new set ups plumbed into the factory plenum over the snorkels though.

I have found out

that it is really hard to look at a gauge, on a sled with a big turbo, at high boost
while climbing a MTN. at WOT. you are hauling way to much azz, and it is very difficult to focus on even an AFR, at WOT when you are doing 60-70 MPH up hill, and need to watching at least 100-150 feet in front of you for trees, rocks, etc.
I saw a bonehead a few years ago, just put a turbo on his m1000, 1st chute he headed up he smacked a tree 1/2 way up that was easily avoidable, he got bucked off hard, and then watched his sled roll, 15 times down the MTN in Pieces because he was watching his gauges, and not where he was going, i felt sorry for him, and towed him out.
FYI- I have a fairly good scan but that is a lot to look at..

Heres my updated CAI since last year needed a better design.

And x2 on the gauge thing, i struggle just looking at my AFR or boost gauge at any point in time.. Which is why i just put that fancy little screen on my bars so i can data log whats going on now and dont need to look down anymore!
