Less Than Impressed

I'm not one to get on here and bad mouth dealerships or companies but I am truly less than impressed with Rexburg Motorsports delivery system.

Here's the story. A buddy snowchecked a brand new 2012 800 163 Pro Ride. Due to him living in MN the dealership told him it would be no problem for them to hold onto it until he could make it out west to pick it up. Well due to his work situation and lack of winter happening out here he hasn't been able to make it out until this coming weekend. Somehow our friend and Rexburg Motorsports came to an agreement so that they could deliver it to our house here in Bozeman. They told us that they would be here around 3:30 so one of the roomates made time in his day to be here when the sled arrived. Guy doesn't get here until around 5:30, whatever, no big deal the roads were probably bad.

Delivery guy shows up with the sled on the trailer with no cover on it. My roomate and I look at each other confused because our friend ordered a cover with the sled (along with oil, belt and some other goodies). The sled, mind you is brand spankin' new with 0 miles on it but is covered with about 1/4-1/2 of ice, road grime and salt. I ask the guy "Why didn't you guys put the cover on it?" and he replies "Oh I didn't know there was one" then looks over at the passenger side of the truck and goes "oh wait here it is". Again my roomate and I just look at each other in utter confusion. I tell the delivery guy "Hey man I'm not one to shoot the messenger, but what the fkc? This is a brand new sled?" (I've never owned a brand new sled but never had one ever get this dirty). The delivery guy goes "yeah sorry, its not my deal, talk to the dealership".

So we get the sled unloaded and the guy goes to turn his truck and trailer around in our neighbors driveway (when there is a empty park parking lot directly across the street), drives the trailer off the driveway/off the colvert breaking out one of his trailer lights and taking out a chunk of asphalt with the corner of his trailer all in our neighbors driveway...very impressive 15 minutes...

Moral of the story, If you want something done right, do it yourself...

That sucks I would be mad..almost as mad as when the guy delivering my shingles decided to put the front of his truck in my NEW grass. Mother ****er. Probably a mess under the hood to.

Yeah under the hood isn't exactly pretty by any means...

I'm not sure what the delivery/cost situation was.

I'm also not sure why he went through Rexburg instead of a local MT dealer, I think they had the best price and nobody else would match it. He didn't buy it from a local dealer in MN because he usually leaves his sled out here at our house in MT and just flies out from MN a few times a year instead of putting miles on his truck, spending gas money and having to tow a trailer

The driver sounds like a complete retard.

Haha yeah, he wasn't the brightest peanut in the turd...Seemed like a nice enough guy, but may or may not of been missing a chromosome. Personally I wouldn't of trusted him with a company truck and trailer, let alone with a customers brand new sled on it...

My experience with Rexburg Motorsports was like Jekyll and Hyde. The sales force was just like every bad stereotype of a used car salesman but I had good success with the service department. Just my 2 cents worth.

Price

I hate to play devils advocate but I would like to mention that he bought the sled because they had the best price. maybe next time insted of shopping based off of price alone how about take other things into consideration. sometimes its better to pay a little extra and not have these problems. pretty common case of you get what you pay for.
just my .02

Wow!! lightest mtn sled made.... why not just put it in the box? beats the heck out of an open trailer on the interstate??

I think the delivery was free, but still if the cover is sitting right next to you the whole time in the truck driving down slushy roads wouldn't it cross your mind to spend 2 minutes putting the cover on? Rexburg Motorsports is a huge dealership with a pretty solid reputation, you would think they would be on top of things like that. Exactly, its a brand new sled and part of the joy of buying a brand new sled is it being nice and shinny and super clean and for the price of sleds these days if it was my sled I'd be really bummed. Hell it isn't my sled and I was bummed...

havent heard the whole story.if the dealer did a freebe deliver to mt,go hose it off at the dollar car wash.slush didnt hurt it.
That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. If you run a business and you care about your customers you don't allow chit like this to take place. Hey, let's deliver his brand new sled he just bought from us covered in road grime hell he can hose it off! They better step up and comp you a belt or two or something to prove they aren't total douches.
