KLIM warranty, what a joke.......

Slight little jab at Cat. Had to read it twice to make sure I read it correctly.

Ok guys, I have to tell you that some time vendors do listen. Someone emailed my post to The VP over marketing and he just called and reassured me they do care and wanted to know what he could do to help, so I told him.
I happen to have a sales rep that was 90% of my disapproval and caused most of my disappointment. He has been let go and they asked me to give them a chance to make it up to me. So that is exciting to me that maybe the perception that I was getting was false. I have never had any issues until my last rep and he made those decisions that was making me feel that maybe they were doing like cat and cutting back on taking care of there customers. He did assured me that this was not the case and to give them the chance to make it up to me.

So try again if you feel it is a warranty issue. I recommend going threw a dealer.

Thanks Snowest forum.

Cabela's Pinnacle gloves. No need to look any further. Second choice if forced to, R U Outside. Wife has them and loves them.

I bought a set of the heavier KLIM gloves from Team CC in Eagle river AK and they were just absolutely DESTROYED after about 1/2 season. Seams split everywhere and looked like I just skinned a bunny rabbit. Took them in and put them on the counter, asked if this was normal, thay said leave them here, just got a call from the dealer and Klim said send em in and we will give you a new pair... (NICE). The funny thing is, even though they were tattered, they still kept me warm, I love my Klim gloves (as long as the warrantee stays good). Thanks Klim and Team CC (AK)!!!

gloves suck..haven't had a good pair last...and i have been riding for 25 years...

klim jackets and bibs...i love them...i'm on my 3rd pair of bibs and i have only bought the one pair. the other two were warrantied with no problems at all..

i did get a pair of gloves warrantied for me a couple of years ago...haven't tried sense, becasue well there gloves and i use them

Im glad to see people voice there concerns, its what the internet is about. Going to be some bad and some good. A buyer will read between the lines and if the lines are more on the negative side it wont take long to figure it out. I for one am VERY glad Motofist is setting a new precedence in warranty claims...or at least there claim says they will, only time will tell! I wouldnt be chucking my Klim gear yet but the preasure of competitions warranty will surely influence them the next time they consider declining a guys warranty.

Heck look what Chryslers warranty did in the past. They came out strong in the late 90's trying to shake off the perception of there products being a POS and offered a 5/50 warranty and on some models a 10/100. People bought and the competition had to up there warranty to compete.. SO no matter how you view these products its good to have them all in the market for us.

I have a whole season on my Powercross gloves and they look like the day I got them (thanks harper!)

Klim warranty non-existent

First of all I do like some of their stuff that I still have. However, if you say you have a warranty, then you should state that it is subject to manufactures definition of the term and not the one that all of us normal people view or take as a WARRANTY!
I have a pair of Klim Windstopper Gloves that fell apart and their excuse to not warranty was "They have reached the end of their lifespan." So for everyone that has a pair better send them in for repair or new ones when thay notice any little thing. Mine had all the stitching along the fingers start to come out after the 3rd or 4th ride. I was under the impression that Klim had a Awesome Warranty, guess not. Now I am looking for a new riding gear manufacture, and I will not be a REPEAT CUSTOMER for Klim nor will I recommend them. It wouldn't bother me so much, but they were not cheap.

if you by tna you better have good hand warmers.

x2!!! I like the gloves, but they are not warm at all. And they soak up water like a shamwow. Other than that they are great. Wait a minute.......they arent warm or dry, so maybe they arent that great. Wasnt impressed with my klims either......so Im open to suggestions.

And yes, Klims warranty is a JOKE. I will never buy another piece of Klim gear again.

I wonder if the dealer I use had the same rep. But I can't get over the feeling that my dealer treats me like a nobody because I can't buy a new X model every year. I had the feeling if I did that they would go to bat for me. Maybe its time to try a new dealer like you recommend, it is refreshing to hear there are some good guys still out there.

I've given up on snowmobile gloves. They all fall apart and i'm cheap. I switched to Ironclad work gloves. I can get two pair, one pair of their cold weather insulated and a pair of thinner light gloves for a fraction of the price. The best part is they DON'T COME APART AT THE SEAMS, they are friggin indestructable.

I put roughly 1500 miles on a pair of Klim Inversion Gloves last year. The fingertips wore down to smooth and the Velcro is about done, but they held up awesome. I love the gloves.

TNA are good but I got wet.
Klim fall apart.
Scott Warrior gloves rock and are Goretex as well.

Same experience.....nice warm comfortable gloves for the first 5 rides....after that the v's start to split and when pulling skis or digging out the gloves start to get wet and by the end of the day your hands are soaked. For the price I expect more durability. Bought a pair of TNA's this year so I hope they last longer........
