KLIM warranty, what a joke.......

My best advice, go to a sporting goods store and save a ton of $.

I paid $120 for boarding pants and 2 pairs of fleece liners 3 seasons ago and they are still rocking. Not only that but they make my @ss look hot, according to my lovely wife anyhow. Plus I don't look like a walking billboard for KLIM or HMK.

I would have been happy with water resistant. If I ever get stranded in the desert I hope to have a pair of HMK boots on as I am fairly certain they actually CREATE water.

Most of the moisture in the boot is created by you. The correct socks make all of the difference. Cotton is a no no. So I guess what you said is correct:D. They are rated for -50F. I have never been cold in my HMK Pro's even at -5F. I was damp/wet/whatever you want to call it. I have yet to find a boot like a snowboard style that is waterproof. In any industry. It looks like they listened to people though as they have introduced a waterproof/breathable snowmobile boot for this coming year.

I tried every kind of fancy sock available......no joy. Does anybody ride a sled when it is -50F.

3 seasons on a $120 pair of Ski-doo boots with much drier feet.

You don't always get what you pay for unfortunately.

I'm not sure what your complaint is, sounds like somebody is clueless, I have had great luck with klim warranty, I have had a helmet, boots and a pair of 3 yr old gloves warrantied. no problems at all. I am not a big fan of them just because of what they have done to some of the dealers I know

Sounds to me you are not paying a premium because of high quality but because of so much warrenty work that is being done.If people dont like their product dont but it.Mabye then they will make changes.

R E I = return everything inc. lol

That would be a good idea, my sister works for REI and claims that's what it stands for. These stories are unfortunate but all too common; small company starts out making high quality product, consumer likes, company grows...and grows....soon small company grows to a mass marketing, profit driven get it built fast and cheap company. I shouldn't be too quick to say that KLIM has went this way but I'm sure time will tell of their newer products (kinda sounds that way with the newer stuff). I also am wearing quality KLIM gear and have only had trouble w/gloves (my fault-too small) that came apart between the fingers, they gave me a larger pair and I was on my way. That was at an outlet that sold their gear so I don't know if it makes a difference as far as treatment. Either KlIM will produce quality gear that consumers desire to buy or some other small quality driven company will repeat the cycle

Klim total bull****

Just denied warranty on KLIM gore-tex gloves that were 4 months old. The V of the fingers split on EVERY finger on BOTH gloves and KLIM denied warranty.

They said "maybe these gloves aren't designed for your type of riding." ARE U KIDDING ME!"

They said there were "some heat damage to the fingertip areas, causing the outer material to harden."

How does heat damage to the tip (which by the way never touched anything hot except heated grips and a muffpot) cause all of the material to be damaged, especially where the major movement areas of the hand are?

Well anyways, I guess my new gear purchases for the year will NOT be with KLIM!!! Need new boots and gear. Any recommendations for gloves?

I have had the same pair of Scott Viking gloves for 4 seasons, no rips or damage to the gloves anywhere. They are all leather and are great in cold weather, rode in -38 celsius a few times with them.

True Adventure Gear.....hands down the best glove out there. And great people to deal with.

+2 Give Mary a call over at TA Gear. Great people and seems like great product. Haven't tried the storms yet, but will probably be the next pair I try.

Sorry for your trouble......I have always had great luck with them. Hopefully I don't meet the same fate as I would be frustrated as well.

That is why I will never buy another pair of Klim gloves. Had three pair, all of them split at the seam where the thumb met the palm. They were replaced, all the replacements split at seams. One was replaced, two denied warranty, that one split at the seam between middle and ring fingers.

Love all of the other Klim gloves and even the togwotee ones, but their thinner ones suck. I've got the same problem with mine, think they are the powercross ones..

The tna are a great glove bought a second updated pair this year at snow show..BUT

they also split at the v--the only problem I had was they seem to get little ice balls on the end of the fingers but the new updated one "was told" don't do this..
