Guess it should be to no ones surprise, another warranty item denied by Klim......well two actually
Sent a pair of boots that were falling apart in earlier this year. Kinda half expected the warranty to be denied, it was. Bit the bullet and bought a new pair of boots...and the exact area where my boot failed was reinforced with rubber. Guess they had alot of boot failures like that....thanks for letting us do you R&D.
Well I sent a brand new pair of gloves used 3-4 times in . The stitching between the finger in a spot or two and then thumb/palm stitching fell apart almost immediately. I used them for the last few rides then put them away for the summer.
So they call me today claiming they were exposed to some heat as is evident by a noticeable sheen on the palm of one? And that this compromised the integrity of the stitching causing failure. For the record I had not touched the pipe/can or use a muff pot/hotdogger. These gloves were new and falling apart . I start to argue my case in a very well mannered and professional way. No exposure to heat...new gloves...come on this is warranty. Then they change the story to "it appears maybe a small snag started the stitch failure."
Ok which is it? Heat or a small snag? How did heat get down inbetween my fingers to cause damage?
They still have the gloves so I cannot post up pics..but will
Needless to say I am very disappointed in the outcome of the situation. I let them know of my disappointment and that they had lost a valued customer....they did not seem to mind
