Ive ridden a lot in Kakwa and some awesome spots in Sask., so ill assume you mean the exact opposite of what you said

sure somebody went out there, probably not a lot of them back yet though, most hardcore kakwa guys that would go in on opening day are probably also multi day guys too, I'd expect a report tomorrow or the next day! See you all out there later this month!

There is 2-3 feet and snowing. It won't be long now but the riding is very dangerous right now.

No problem. TO me, Kakwa will always be the best place I ever road sleds in. Sometime in the future when my 2 boys are old enough, I will take them in. Maybe even start setting up the camp again.

My group of riding buddies started the area known as "BORDER TOWN"

Great group of friends and along with a couple other camps with guys from Beaverlodge...it was alot of fun.

We have not set up our camp since about 2001/02 and the last time I was sledding in Kakwa was a daytrip in 2004.

I sure miss it. Just to busy to ride now like I use too.

Had to get "Keys Please" back from "dead horse" one night

Know if the groomer is going into the lake anytime soon?

Groomer went in on sunday but not much to groom. The snow is pretty skinny and the first 8 kms are brutal. Only 3 feet of snow at cabin.:

Groomer can't travel into B.C till there is 1 meter at the border. It might be a while before we get that.

Some good powder up there. Never made it all the way in, had a broke down kitty we had to tow out. Got about 20 miles in the trail and there was 3-4 feet of fresh.
