Just Give Peace a Chance

i'm wondering why there's corn in my poop.

Last time I had corn that I can remember was when I ate at qdoba last week, and I know that's outta my system by now. It usually does a number on me the next day.

I tell you what....corn always goes 1 way or another with me. #1 is a shotgun blast that half makes me laugh and cry at the same time, the other feels like I'm pooping a 2x4 sideways. I swear sometimes I have to stop and take a minute to let myself dialate (sp?)

speaking of which its time to drop 'bama and the chitlins off at the pool. :beer;

people sometimes confuse peace with freedom.....mostly people who haven't really given it much thought, or who have ever had to actually DO something for either....so let's say there's just two people in the world....you and me....as long as you do what i say, you shall have peace....as long as you do anything i tell you, you have peace, no freedom, but peace, cause i won't do anything bad to you.....now on the other hand, if you want freedom, to do, think or speak as you wish; well now, we have a problem, because you're going to have to earn the right to have freedom, you're going to have to stand up to me to get your freedom, and guess what, peace is going out the window....at least for a time, until we decide which of us is the toughest, then there may be peace again, for a time, until one or the other gets tired of having the others will imposed upon him.....so it's an old saying, but true...freedom ain't free.....there are too many people in this country who have never had to fight or put anything of any significance on the line for the privleges they enjoy.....the same folks who won't write a letter, go to a rally, donate $ to the organizations to keep out riding areas open.....and to the men and women of this country who will bust their butts because they understand the cost of being free.....peace with freedom is won, not given....so don't talk to me glibbly about peace, when you clearly don't understand freedom.....

Are you saying that Iraq was about to invade us and make us speak Iraqi.

I just dont by it.

Or are we the ones invading them making them speak American? Maybe they should have invade us first to stop us from invading them.

PEACE PEACE PEACE

Let's not forget that we created Bin Laden because we left him high and dry when we pulled out of Afganistan the first time.

I considered an invasion because a lot of troops came from Great Britain to fight. YOur right it was a revolution, and we need another one

hold it...that is not giving peace a chance. Are you advocating civil war? Are you saying we need to fight for our freedom? Does the fight have to be only on our soil? American troops have not fought for freedom on our soil in a long time. But they have fought none the less, for ours and theirs. What about Iraqi freedom? Since they are not on american soil does that mean they don't deserve freedom from tyranny? Does that mean no one should help them in their fight? Should France have stayed home during our revolution, our fight? What about justice? Does it only happen in our country?

If a woman is raped and we avert our eyes, does that mean it did not happen? Because the woman is not your sister does your responsibility end? How many women in the middle east are suffering? Why don't we have a responsibility? Womens rights, civil liberties, free speech...the list goes on. Shame on us if we don't respond.

If you don't see a link to our security and uncontroled nations abroad then you are indeed short sighted. We fought Hitler in Europe. Thank god we did not fight him here. When the next regime with a wigged out philosphy threatens the security of lives on our shore I hope we fight them on their soil, not ours...oh wait there is a regime with a wigged out philosphy right now and we are fighting them on their soil...All while you shop at walmart.

sheesh...

I don't think so. Bin Laden was quoted as turning against the US, when he returned to Saudi Arabia, and found American Troops there and his government working with the Americans. He considered it an invasion of Islam's homeland by the infidels. He joined forces with Egyptian hate groups, to force American from the land of Islam.

I agree with your statement on Human Rights in other countries. What kind of person can claim they want peace for themselves, while ignoring the lack of basic human rights of people in other countries. If you really want peace, then you should stand up all the earth's armies, and destroy all dictators, and suppressors of basic human rights. Or, do only American's deserve peace, in your idealistic little world? It's a lot like people raging on Southerners for slavery a 145 years ago, yet the same people won't get off their azz and stop slavery happening to a estimated 100 million people today!

JFly, how can you support Illegals. A person from some country, say Eastern Europe, gets a higher education, makes something of himself, go through the legal channels and gets a green card, and applies for scientific work in the US. Why would you support an Illegal's rights over rights of the person that worked hard to earn the right to come here. You do realize we have a quota system? If we didn't, a 1/2 Billion people would be moving here tomorrow. What I'm saying is, by supporting an Illegal, you are denying others a fair chance to become American's. There's another word for that, since you obviously are talking about Mexican American's, it's call objectiveness based on race, or racism.

The civil rights movement started before the Civil War, It just took over a 100 years to complete. There would be no civil rights for Black people, had there been no war. I don't agree that the Civil War was started over slavery, but a great many people expected the practice to be abolished after the war was over. Funny part, slavery was only abolished in the South, it continued for many years in Northern states. Lincoln did not free the slaves, just the southern slaves that he didn't control.

Those that refuse to fight for peace, liberty, and freedom, deserve none.

The tree of liberty must occasionally be fertilized with the blood of Tyrants and Patriots, or it shall incrementally and imperceptibly grow weak and wither before your very eyes without you noticing.

To expect peace without conflict, is to deny the existence of Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, and Pride. For the sins of man; will allow no lasting peace, for they are the genesis of chaos.

Maybe you should fertilize the tree since you are such a patriot. You would also be strengthening the gene pool. You call me racist because I could care less about illegal aliens, and dont go around bashing them every chance i get. I support everyone's right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, whether they are legal or illegal. And i support peace for the whole planet, not just America. I dont even believe we need countries. We need to come out of the dark ages and use the technology and science we have developed to cure poverty, hunger, and homelessness. We need to share the earth's resources intstead of letting a few people control all the natural resources for profit. By doing this we could eliminate crime and war.

There can be peace without violence.

nothing but a deadly sin

Bin Laden was Mr. big hero when he came home from Afganistan and enjoyed a cult figure staus, if that were possible in S.A. When Sadam invaded Kuwait Bin Laden approached the house of Saud and told them that he and his rable was there to save the day. He would stand heroically against Sadam if he dared cross the border.

When the government there told him that his services would not be needed he took offense, (they just about laughed in his face) and when the Saudies contacted the Americans...he really took offense. He and his wacky doctor buddy stewed and they vowed revenge.
Ya see, nothing but good ol fashioned jelousy, envy and pride. He did what all major-wacked wackos do and injected religion and boom! you have yourself a jihad.

Oh thank God...J-fly is here to save me from myself.
A little note he left in my CP....

"Your posts tell me that you are are brainwashed republican clone. Dont worry, i am here to provide treatment and hopefully unbrainwash you"

Actually I lean more Libertarian than Republican but thanks for the offer of your infinite wisdom to show me the error of my ways.
I'm certain I will benefit from your years of experience.:D

You actually make a few good points but they get buried in the massive amounts of crappy points and opinions you cling to.
Personally, I think you're a nut.

Good read.. might be a bit to simple for common stupid to understand, but..

Very well put.
You have a way with words.
Green for ya!

No one has even really mentioned all the soldiers that are coming back from Iraq and murdering innocent civilians in America. I guess this is just the price of freedom, according to most of you. I think we can do better.

that's the government letting soldiers fall through the cracks and looking the other way. We as a people have a responsibility to care for our soldiers and see that they get proper care and diagnosis for things like PTSD...I know a guy who did 3 tours in Iraq, it took 2-3 years for him to get PTSD from the VA...all the while it was very clear to his friends and family.

We need to come out of the dark ages and use the technology and science we have developed to cure poverty, hunger, and homelessness.-man if only there was a book that laid out step by step a way to do all that...and we don't even need science to implement it. Man I bet that would be a great book to check out if it was real...

Turn off your f*cking TV! You won't hear about the ones that come back to their families and integrate back into society on CNN.

Returning from Iraq doesn't mean you're going to be a murderer. What you said is called a "hasty generalization", a form of logical fallacy. Doesn't take an English major to see through that pile of crap.
