baker today was not by any means an epic day, but still put on 46 miles and found a few honey holes of good untouched....... just gotta know where to look. way better then keyboard high marking all day....it was pretty tracked out for 100 inches in the last 10 days. was expecting more.

We rode Baker on Friday and had a blast. It would clear up for an hour or so then the clouds would blow in. We would race up high when it was clear and race back down as it got socked in. Wind blown up top pretty bad but like XP said there was a lot of good riding to be had. Had a great day at GC on Sat too. It started to rain in the afternoon but we got a lot of riding in before then and my buddies took me out back of Mount Margaret(I think thats it) to a few place I had never been and that was great too. Man I love to sled.

Baker was more crowded than I have seen it in the past 2 years. We usually hit it mid week. Not on Friday or the weekends.
Gold Creek was freaking packed. In a spot I never see any other riders posses of 6 to 12 sleds would come through one after another. We had to keep moving to stay ahead of the crowds. Lot's of late sleepers.

Had a great day at GC on Sat too. It started to rain in the afternoon but we got a lot of riding in before then and my buddies took me out back of Mount Margaret(I think thats it) to a few place I had never been and that was great too. Man I love to sled.

Matte, I'm not sure if you're aware, but just in case you aren't.... Please be mindful of the wilderness boundary on the back of Margy. Technically there are parts of the main bowl and east side of Margy that are not in wilderness area, but a lot of it is. Best to just stay out.

Our definitions of back and front may be different though. I call the "front" the area that is legal to ride, and the "back" the illegal side.

Baker was pretty good yesterday. Fist time up there and they groomed the trial, but it was still a little beat up. I can image how it must be on the weekends. For the most part it was cloudy but it started to clear later in the day. Not to bad for a Monday.
