Rode Jefferson today. One thing- WE NEED MORE SNOW!! period

Need more snow in IP for sure. Still good riding though.
Need more snow in IP for sure. Still good riding though.were do you see that we will be there January 30th for 4 days...is snow expected by then...we have a large group going and usually are in west so new to the area other thann having lunch in IP a few times...any good insight.
next storm is supposed to roll in tomorrow night and stay until monday afternoon. they are being kind of tight lipped about expected snow fall but we are over due for a big storm.

i went up saturday and the wife torched the piston/jug on the pto side of my sled. i tore it down and am rounding up parts today so that it will be broken in and ready by the time you guys get here. what are the dates again? also, before she scattered it, we had a chance to ride a little and the snow is good---hard to find but good. the fatality on jefferson has got everyone spooked again (and for good reason) but there are still some bowls and meadows that have some untouched snow.

Your wife blew it up eh? Is that your story? Don't rush the repair, the last thing you want is a couple flatlanders rescuing you
We'll be in town (West Yellowstone) on the 1st (Sunday) until the 6th. We were going to stay in IP for this trip, but were unable to find cheap lodging after one of the guys in our party backed out. There will only be 2 of us now.
We can still meet you in IP somewhere if that works better. We'll just be coming from West.

snowing in Rexburg as I type. Lets hope it keeps it up through monday as forcasted
good news everyone. as cookie cutter stated, it is snowing in the valley right now. we received almost 8 inches in our yard overnight (10 miles west of I.F.) and the snow is very heavy, wet snow. the high country usually gets double what we receive and i hope this holds true with this storm. forecast is for weather similar to what we have now but for the next 4 days. let it snow, let it snow. anyone doing the poker run in IP tomorrow?

yeah, i heard that there is a poke run tomorrow but i can't find any information on it.

Snow is packed down pretty well now. Last week we had ZERO snow and it was very warm out. Rode in sweatshirts and no gloves needed.......
Could use some snow........
Found some new to us riding areas, and never went into avy prone areas at all, stayed in the trees and had a ball.........
Spent a day doing some ice fishing at the lakeside and caught a dozen rainbows. Got sunburned from all the sun.

Small world......we just got home late last night. One of the guys in our group on a Black Rev XP 800 stopped and talked with your guys on Wed or Thursday as we passed by. He mentioned you guys got some trout one of the days...and others got into some bottle bass!!! Would have been fun had we had more time.
leaving end of this week staying in IP cabins....did the snow come as expected...how is the riding good powder in the meadows?
