Is there enough snow for a road ride anywhere?

Finally got my sled all back together and I want to take it out for a little test run somewhere to make sure everything working right, no leaks, etc. Hoping this weak little storm they say is comming turns in to something better, but I'm not gonna hold my breath! So does anyone know if there is enough snow on the road (as of right now) anywhere to ride?

I can post something tomorrow. I'll likely get out and about to do a little scouting in the Uinta's. Pretty sure you can still ride around Bald Mt. area. We rode up there 3 weeks ago and they've had snow since then along with fairly cold temps.
Don't know if that's too far for ya though.

i went up to monte 2 weeks ago and rode curtis creek road. there wasnt a whole lot of snow but enough to open it up on long stretches and make sure everything runs ok. we havent had any storms since then but 90 percent of the road is covered by trees so there is a good chance the snow is still there.

sunday the roads up on elizabeth were covered for the most part, but there was stretches of mud, we were on fourwheelers, i would say most likely no to doing it on a snowmobile..

Happy Turkey Day!

So is the mirror lake highway shut down for the year? If so is there enough snow to ride up the road? How far do i need to go up the road till i can park

Thanksgiving Day Uinta Snow Report

We were able to take my wifes SUV up and over the top of Bald Mt. with no problem at all. Truck and Trailers will have no problems and can park anywhere off the edge of the road. Plenty of snow still for road and some meadow riding. North side definitely has more snow. I'll try and add some pics. No high speed at the Cabin so it takes forever.:(

Excellent! Might just have to take a ride up there this weekend! That looks to be enough for our road ride (if we can keep ourselves on the road that is ).

Thanks for the report!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

The gate is opened on both sides still. We saw a Mercedes at Mirror Lake that we know came from Kamas because we were the first tracks from the Bear River side. They have the sign up warning drivers that the road is closed no maintenance. We went as far as Bald Mountain and two cars went by going toward Kamas. My mother that works for the lodge said that construction workers were going over the top all last week. To our knowledge, they close them at the same time.

Couple inches of new at the cabin, so I hope there's a bunch more up high. Just enough to cover the rocks that were exposed yesterday.

Coming up Sat. 11/29/08

Where is the best place to park coming up on the Bear River side?
Any advice on a early season ride in the Uintas? We normaly ride Island Park but purchased a New Skidoo last weekend and would die to run it down a road.
Always appreciate your snow reports:o.

I would park at Ruth Lake turn off where the bathrooms are. There are two big pullouts there. But honestly this time of year you can literally park off the side of the road. Good Luck
