If i take off the silencer would it give me more or less power and torque. i know it would be louder but i dont see a point to have a silencer it just makes it quieter but who wants that. I want to hear the power.:D

do us all a favor and keep it on, and if you take it off it will not run as good as it does with one on

a silencer is like an education , you dont really need one but are an idiot without one. sj

your not getting me i want to disturb the peace with a really loud machine but if i do take it off, will and how bad will it hurt my performance if any!
if it will only affect it a little i might do it but will an aftermarket silencer be any better than stock like one from dynoport

If you take off your silencer, it will have poor performance!!! I had the packing come out of my aftermarket silencer, and my sled ran like crap. You have to have the pipe length, plus the back pressure for your sled to run right. Don't even think about stingers.

All you will be doing is pissing everyone off, and making snowmobilers look bad!

Once you learn how to wheelie, then we'll teach you the ways of the exhaust, young grasshoppa.

I hear it will make it wheelie like crazy!!!!;)

You mean like this:

Dude your a ****ing idiot, if you want your sh!t loud get a can. Honestly im pretty sure that anyone who owns a snowmachine would know that if you take your stock can off your sled will run like sh!t.

oh dang it!!! that might be my problem. lol

and if you take off your silencer you'll be lucky to turn 6g or around there. at least thats what my sleds did when i punched some holes through 2 sets of pipes:mad:

do us a favor adn leave it on.

back in the day when we were young and dumb we had 97 xcr 600's took muffler off went to muffler shop and had bend 2 1/2" pipe made a 90 and ran a straight pipe it ran good all winter loud MF though. we actauliy gained 12 mph. when we ran at night it basically looked like you had flames coming out of the bottom of the sled. Those were the days!

Now for some truth. If you remove all forms of silencers and just run stright pipes and have the proper length of stinger for the pipe the sled will pick up power. (look at all the open mod drag sleds, not one muffler or can in the whole race) THAT BEING SAID!!!!! Not only will you annoy the heck outta every non-sledder within a 25 mile radius but any 2 stroke with an open exhaust like that is gonna be murder to tune. Even with a can when the sled is gonna lean out you can feel the "bobble" just before the pop. When you take off the muffler and replace it with nuttin there is no warning. Just puttin along and BANG!!! Here in Ontario any modification to the exhaust has rendered the sled illegal on anything but private property. Leave the open pipes to the professionals on the drag circuit. They can afford to replace the motor every few passes.

What you need to do is sit down with your mamma & pappa & explain to them why it is socially unacceptable for siblings to have kids.
