Irwin report

Thread Rating
5.00 star(s)
Riding is now limited to north facing slopes, trees.
Base has been reduced to 0-3'.
Treewells are like tank-traps, some streams have cut through snowpack.

Got a trace today, mostly rain the last few days.

Townsite roads are open.
Campground/Lake road is still blocked w/ snow.

Pics are from about a week ago.

GAR - someone ran the cat from the "Y" to Floresta a few nights ago. Dry roadbed. Twasn't Turbo. Marlene's gotta to love that.

Flurries, no accumulation below 11,000ft.
Still snow up high, but mostly spring skiing at this point, as access to it via sled is very limited.

Um...well, there is snow. Getting the sleds up to the snow is another story.

We will be putting a bunch of sleds on a trailer (on snow) for the 4th of July parade! ...some balance in the crowd with all of those cow-cabage wearing hippies!

;-)

Big Al was supposed to transport it to and from floresta, Phil went in to push snow for those guys so they could ramp up construction

I could care less what the road natzi loves or doesn't

she is a big part of the problem around here

Welcome to the 2009/2010 Season!!!!!

Got our second real snow dusting since early June.

Got a couple inches above 12,500ft.
Mostly on North/North-west facing slopes.
Will probably burn off with the sun.

MD.

Wow - My rant was answered - with authority!

6-8" above 11,000 feet today!!!!!!!
Mountains were covered all day- solid white, huge storms, very early.
Flurries at the ski area till about 5:00pm.

Season = ON.
