yes i was there last week. tell kurt who you are and they will treat you good. heated shop and the whole 9 yards.

To you guys who have stayed at the Goldenwest:

There are two of us coming from Canada via Colorado and don't need a monster place to stay. Just a place to sleep, shower and BS. We can eat out or toss food in a mini fridge.

Is the Goldenwest for us?

Yup Call Kurt or Shell there. I was with m7bossman this last week and met them two for the first time. They are great people and will get you set up with a nice room for a good price. Thanks Again Kurt and Shell

Who's in West this week? A couple of our guys are out there now and maybe looking for a group to ride with (boondocking & climbing) they know the area really well. They have all the equipment and can hold their own with anybody.

Blk88GT: You won't be disappointed in the Goldenwest. It's basic lodging, but the hospitality and good time you'll find in the shop there will make the stay memorable!

Just spent 3 great days riding in West with M7Bossman, who is home sitting by his phone waiting for Thunderstruck video editors to call...Casey, who's probably stting on his sled in his Dad's shop practicing his carving technique on that big RMK...and Young Dog, who, wth me, saw some of the most pristine powder West has to offer! Great trip. Thanks, as always, to Kurt and Shell for the great ham dinner and the comfortable condo. Hope to see you guys again this winter!

one example. one guy blew off his abs on accident, told kurt that night and kurt called back 30 min later and said i will have new canister and trigger here before 8 am tomarrow and that he did. we all so sat in his shop and watched the vikes lose and they had all this free food for the game. can't beat that.

you WILL NOT find a better place to stay.. kurt & shell are great people! heated shop for drinking and working on your sleds.. convienent location and great rates.. you can even cook your own dinner in the shop..

If anyone wants to ride this weekend and next week myself and another buddy will be there. There is group of us coming but the others are taking thier wives and will want to stay closer to the trails.

I'll chime in here too. Kurt and Shel are 2 of the nicest people you'll ever meet. They go out of there way to make sure you have a good time and pleasant stay. And you can't beat the heated shop for partying and working on sleds:D

When are you getting into town? Were planning on being there the 24th-31st

there was a posting early about when yellow stone park was going to be
PHP:
closed it said something about park stats about the animals killed by sleds vs cars and the posllution

bobcat,
The park is open to sleds. You have to go in on four stroke and with a guide. If you need help setting up a tour give me a call or post............

So how is the snow setting up? Thinking of heading out the end of the month. Is there a base now? Whats the avy danger like?

We rode Cabin on Thursday and Friday and fourd great powder. There is a base in most of the open areas now. In the trees it is a different story with little base. But the boondocking is about as good as it gets. We have been getting alittle new snow daily. Most of the tracks we put down on Thur. were covered on Fri. The avy conditions are very high. This year is not to be taken lightly with the conditions we have. Those hills are going to slide, hopefully on there own with no one on them................

Harper and I are all booked up. I can't wait! Better keep that shop warm Kurt, I have a feeling we'll be fixing with the way Harper "controls" his sled. I know it's hard to believe, but I'm a professional hillclimber.

Any chance you guys have wireless internet there so I can post pictures while we're in town?

Yep, it will work in the shop.............

Awesome, that will do just fine! We've got a buddy who bailed on us for the trip that needs to be sent hundreds of photos showing what an awesome time we're having and constantly reminded how he pussed out.
