Poor visibility today but DEEEEEEEP powder. We ran down close to black canyon and turned back because of the wind. Headed over to the power line and all I can say is WOW. I'll try to get some pictures up tonight.

All i can say is WOW....cant wait to get there. Coming new years Thursday for the first ride out west this year. Looks pretty dang good for time of year. BRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPP!!!!!
 
tried getting into red canyon through the valley today, no dice. went up the switchbacks, got all the way up but couldn't see so came right back down. hopefully getting back to cabin creek tomorrow, couple pics for you, second one is Big D RMK... great day of riding, sunshine would be nice though...

Most importantly, it increases the avalanche danger until the snow layers bond, which you can only tell by digging a lot of pits, compression testing the snow, being UP TO DATE on the avalanche reports (daily) for the area that you ride in. Listen to the experts, be knowledgeable and make smart decisions.
 
that ice layer i was talking about wasnt evident where we were today but, there was still hard crust over soft snow covered by epic powder.. went to numerous spots today that were untouched.. :D here is a few pictures, more to follow soon..
