Need help want to come to West on New Years day and have been there last 7 years around that time...how does the snow compare to past years...is it worth the 12 hour trip? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

As of today there is not as much snow as in the past, lets say 4 to 5 years. The last storm that moved through here put down a foot in town. We only had around 4 inches on the ground prior to that. I would guess that 2 to 3 feet was put down in the high country. I have not, nor has any of my friends been out to see for sure. I am waiting for one more good dump before I venture out. We are in a system that gives us a good chance of more snow the next 6 to 7 days. By the time New Years rolls around we could be as good or better than past years if we keep getting snow. Allot can, and should change in three weeks. Hope this helps..............
