Snows looking good there - thanks for the pics. Looks like having a few Captains and dancing around the living room nude worked - the wife sure liked it anyway! Looking forward to my trip down there later in January. Made two trips up to Revy before and after Christmas - great snow, but visability much to be desired. Got in one day of great powder riding where you could see - awsome! Happy New Year Everybody and see you next year real soon.:face-icon-small-win

M7Bossman

M7Bossman is chauffer for the ND Sled Dogs coming to West next week Wednesday. Me and "The Boy" have our M8's all shined up, oiled up, gassed up and geared up to come out there and find that same AWESOME snow NightTrain's pics showed. I'm already not sleeping well in anticipation. Kurt and Shel, looking forward to your great hospitality!
Until then....DaddylikeshisM8:wine:

Beautiful stuff there Kory! Hoping we can find some fresh POW with some blue skies like that! Doesn't get much better....How'd your wife like her XP? One of the guys coming out with us has one, hoping he doesn't have clutch/belt issues that I have heard so much about.

My wife loves her XP!(So do I but don't tell the Cat guys) Almost 300 miles on it and zero belt/clutch problems. This thing loves deep snow. It doesn't hesitate at all. My wife kept saying "Every time I think I am going to get stuck, I just give it more throttle and it keeps going." Hope you find as good of snow as we did on your trip.

Thanks,
Kory

Thanks for the update Kory. I got to ride the XP in the U.P of Michigan, wasn't a ton of snow, but got a solid feel with the XP. Tons of power, and alot of fun to ride, looking forward to trying it out again in the POW of west!

thanks Kurt

Was great to meet you finally, after reading dozens of your reports...

we ended up going into Cabin Creek two days in a row....was incredible had untouched snow everywhere...jhust had to know where to find it!!! most everyone was going right up the creek, and that left the whole face completely untouched and we did not leave it that way...

we are planning a return in a couple weeks...with this snow as base, February and March will be INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!

cannot wait!!! we got about 6 inches in the Flathead Valley this morning am sure the hills got more...should be a good weekend here too!!!

B-radical and Mt Time,

just giving ya a heads up and reminding you to leave 2 beacons and a backpack with kurt...also untouched snow please!!!

call me when you get back if you forget so we can make arrangements.

5 sleeps!

Heading to west next week. Where are the best places to ride that don't get beat to death? Any info would be great. Thanks

Try Cabin Creek, Tepee Basin or Taylor Fork area (Carrott, Sage & Sunlight Basins, Wapiti Creeks). I like those areas better than right near West & IP. You might want to trailer your sleds to those areas as the ride from West isn't fun. You'll probably not find untracked deep pow just riding the trails around West & IP. It is possible on occassion along the south/madison plateau area. In Taylor Fork area, we found some incredible, untracked & deep pow riding hidden by the trees only 30 yards off the trail last weekend. I found a new meadow that I had ridden past SOOO many times, never knew it was there. Unbelievable powder, not one person had been in there yet this year! Just slow down and take a peek through the trees.
