I'm joining you Doo dudes next year

Last weekend I went to an 08/09 demo ride event at Rabbit Ears put on by Xtreme Performance out of the Denver area. I spent some time on a D8, mod RMX and a couple different XPs. I have to say that the Poo was easy to lay over, however, after I spent some time on the XP I started to really like the sled. From reading the experiences of some of you on here, I knew that I needed to get some extra seat time on the XP b/c I have never ridden a Rev or Xp chassis before. It took a few minutes to adjust to it but after I got to spend some time on an XP with Floats and no sway bar, I really started to enjoy it. So, it looks like I'm ordering a new 09 XP 154" next year. :D I think I'll put floats on it right from the start too.

This is my first Doo and my first brand new sled ever. To tell you the truth, I wasn't really considering an XP until I started reading all of the posts by the knowledgeable members here in the Doo section. After I read various posts, talked to a few of you and then actually got to ride the sled, I see that it's a great sled with the best chassis out there. Next riding season will be a loooong wait.

Although some people may not appreciate the XP and dismiss it as a "problem" sled without spending adequate seat time on it, I want to say "thank you" to all of the Doo experts on here because you helped change my initial opinion of the XP. The demo ride sealed the deal and confirmed what all of you were raving about. I'm sure I'll be leaning on you all next year to get my 09 XP dialed in right. :beer;:beer;:beer;

Take care,

Tim

Congrats, and welcome to fantasy island. You won't be disapointed with the XP. Take your time, and set it up to your liking, and you'll have one of the funnest years sledding you've ever had. What color you gonna get?

I'm probably going to get an Everest since I plan to change the shocks right off the bat. I don't know if it's worth the money for the shortie windshield and better gauge package. Heck, I hardly look at the gauges when I'm riding.

I do like the blue/black combo the best though.

The best feature they come with is the "Ear -to-ear grin" You won't be sorry.

I don't think you will be dissapointed.

.....as far as the x, the gauge is REALLY nice when you have it in rpm and elevation mode. Let's you know if/when to clicker, and where you are at on the hill.

on the demo you just scracthed the surface, wait unitl you have several rides and start finding out what they are really capable of, then your really going to like it. the best way you can reafirm your choice is to ride something else, after your totally comfortable, with the xp

08 XPs

I was up at the demo days at Rabbit Ears as well. I currently ride a 04 Summit 162 turbo and my uncle and his friends all ride 06-08 Poo's. I get to hear how good the polaris sleds are and doo is a piece of junk. After the first time we went out on Sunday, with 6" of fresh snow, the Dragon lays over and boondocks better than the XP for me, my dad and uncle said the same. I am 6' 2" 175 and my dad is 215 and we dragged out in the meadow and the xp would still out run the 09 dragon with my dad on the XP. We hillclimb alot and boondock in the trees and after the first ride I thought the D8 was a better boondocker on harder snow(which we never really ride in). Late Sunday afternoon atfer everybody was gone, Craig from Xtreme took us to the hillclimbs at the Ears, then the XP was definately the better sled. After dragging side by side and switching riders, the XP would leave the D8. Riding in the trees and in deeper snow the XP was way fun to ride and was really stable hillclimbing. I think the dragon could be a better performer in the deeper snow and hillclimbs with a wider track. After the test ride the dragon definately handled the harder snow boondocking better, but when it came to what I like to do, deep snow hillclimbing and boondocking, the XP's less weight and wider track was alot more fun to ride and could go right past where the dragons were getting stuck.

Traitor!!! make sure you pick the right color of lipstick to match. should have got the KK!!

Totally agree

Yep, your experience sounds the same as mine. I thought D8 at first but I trusted all the advice I was given and rode the XP several times. As I said before, I really ended up liking it A LOT when i got on the hills and got into some fresh powder.

See ya up on the mountain next year!:beer;

dos'nt everybody on (fantasy island) own one graveler? i'll bet you could barrow one . because andrew is tired of letting you use his sled. and gas and truck and trailer. lol.
