I am not blaming them for selling there product just selling it to a non motorsports dealer. it does not effect me that they sell there....... Effects them and the dealers that they are selling out.......

I have used my KLIM gear as Rain Gear, Backpacking, Snowshoeing, and on the Slopes(alot), all Non-Motorized. I'am an ex-Ski Patroller and Ski-Bum and have had alot of really good outerwear ie:Patagonia, Marmot, etc. For me I choose KLIM because 1) It works 2) they are on the right side IMO of the battle for Access to the Back Country.
I'm ok with them markiting thier product to non-motorized outlets, as long as continue to support ACCESS!!!

I just had a look at the new Motofist stuff a couple of nights ago at a dealer open house. Very nice looking stuff. If it does verything the company owner says it will, this is my choice. So new has yet to be proven.

MotorFist

Greetings,

My Klim gear has been demoted to the closet. This season will be my second season with my MotorFist gear. No regrets, my MotorFist gear at the very least is equal to my Klim gear and was approximately 30% cheaper to purchase.

Craig.

Went to SLC sled show, looked at Klim and MotorFist. Today I have a new MotorFist coat. They both are very nice. Hard choice but in the end, I thought eVent would keep me more dry.

Last 2 seasons it has been Klim for me.Valdez Parka, tog bibs and powercross gloves.Always warm and dry even on the spring wet days.Just went out shopping for my wife and the womens alure jacket fits her nice has curves as well as all the other good stuff klim puts in[nite and day diff over the polaris womens event jacket]she also got adrenallen gtx boots and powercross gloves. You get what u pay for.I looked at the motorfist gear and it as pricey as the klim but no womens gear

I've been looking at getting something new yet for this winter too. Has anyone gotten any of the new slednecks gear? If I decide to get somthing I think it'll be between that and motorfist. Have ToBe gear now. To bad they aren't around anymore. I see polaris has a tobe line but not much selection.

I used all Klim gear for years and IMHO, it is top-notch equipment. That being said, I was ready for a new jacket and bibs last season and purchased a Polaris E vent set to try because I got a smokin' deal on Ebay. It is awesome gear. I never got cold or wet at all last season and as others have commented, I too, feel it breathes better than GoreTex. When you're working hard, it just seemed to get rid of moisture (perspiration) better. I still use and love my Klim Adrenaline GTX boots, Klim gloves, and Klim helmet.

Would the motor fist stuff be the same material as Polaris e vent?

From what I've read, the Motor Fist offerings would be the same membrane as the Polaris gear. The EVent membrane has been highly praised in hiking and skiing gear as well as sledding gear. If you're curious, do a quick Google search.

Motofist here..reason is because I currently use polaris e-vent and it performs much better then the polaris goretex gear I have used in past seasons...the event just seems to breathe better.....I find I dont have all my zip vents cranked open all the time like i did with the goretex gear...

thats what motorfist found in there testing, is that event breathed better ,and stopped moisture from getting in better.
i would buy the motorfist , mainly because they have a NO NONSENSE LIFETIME WARRANTY. unlike klim - they say they have a lifetime warranty ,but when its time to send a product in ,its been my experience that they would not warranty it. I asked why when its a lifetime warranty and they replied that there lifetime warranty is for the life of the product and they dont have ANY time condition in concrete. its weather they think the products life is up or not.. that is no joke.. i have the experience in more than one product with them.
Personally i think its false advertising , there warranty is very abstract.
When i first found out about motorfist and read there warranty it was very clear with no strings attached. so when my tog bibs need work I( which is one more year at best) i wont even send them in , its a waste of time and $ , i wlll go and get the motorfist. and as a added bonuse they have the event which does work better.

Um, the lifetime warranty didn't hang around long.

Not to mention, warranties are only as good as the company standing behind it.
