If you ride with someone who has the spring style and the cable style side by side you can see there is no comparison
the cable is a nice idea but just doesnt kick enough snow and ice when really needed
The spring style can be bent back and if really tweaked
cut them and weld it straight again
just my opinion
if i had a welder mounted on my gas rack it would be a go. but, i haven't figured that one out yet, so until then, i think im going with the slidekicks.
unless somebody has an alternative that is "reverse compatable"
